Palettes and Palaces.
I sit alone in my room every morning. I scroll through Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms for a while waiting for that shot of motivation to hit in my blood. I wait for a lovely message to pop up, I even wait for a family member to come into my room bearing any sort of good news, but none of these things ever happen. So I stay alone, counting the seconds I am spending alone without you, hating every one of them. My heart aches a little bit, because I just remembered how no ones loves me fully. No one knows the real me, those who love me, don’t really know me. Except you, you knew the real me. I opened my heart and mind for you. I showed you my true colors, they weren’t colors at all. They were different shades of black and grey. I showed you the darkest rooms in my mind, we walked through the abandoned palace of dark rooms that is my mind, together. You put light in every room, shreds of light that I thought would be on forever. The light is fading away now, slowly but surely. It’s fading after I had just gotten started to get used to it. I was okay with living in these dark rooms and using these dark shades in my lonely forsaken palace. Until you came along and showed me different shades of yellow and white. You made me forget my old ways and now you’re slowly taking away the rays of light, leaving me clueless and lonely, again.
