Baby Steps
2/13/14 - Finally started working toward my goal of shedding some unwanted weight by doing the Jillian Michaels' No More Trouble Zones. Problem is that I couldn't finish it - ouch!!! But I didn't eat any candy and I got through most of it so really, baby steps.
NEW GOAL
LOSE TEN POUNDS BY MARCH 28TH OF THIS YEAR.
That gives me 8 weeks. My plan is to limit sugar, limit dairy, eat more salads, drink more water, and fit some running into my schedule. Hopefully in 2 months I'll be typing out a SUCCESS post!
Gluten free chocolate chip pancakes! Really surprised at how yummy they turned out! Think I like them better than regular ones.

I am a very, very HAPPY girl!!! I found an awesome recipe for homemade ginger tea, which I pinned on Pinterest, and I found two ripple crochet patterns on YouTube that I want to try by VeryPink Knits (the lady that made it so easy for me to learn how to crochet my first granny square afghan), which led me to find another ripple stitch video by Curtzy. I now have a couple of detox baths to try, as well as a Ginger Detox Body Scrub but the COOLEST thing yet - I discovered craftgawker.com.
I am not going to start any of the projects I have just discovered yet because I must finish all my old projects first (it's part of the resolutions I posted a few days ago) BUT I am so stoked to have all these cool, exciting, beautiful crafts, patterns, recipes, and ideas at my fingertips!!
More Resolutions
I FORGOT THE BIGGEST ONE!!!
I am going to work on not withholding love from my guy.
New Year's Resolutions
In no particular order:
1. Switch to cloth bags instead of using plastic
2. Vent to my man or to my journal but other than that keep my hostile points of view, aggravations, and hair-pulling incidents to myself.
3. Limit Facebook and most smart phone activities. I used to be able to be on an elevator or able to wait for an appointment without having to use my phone. Also, I get really irritated by all the stupid things people say on Facebook. Don't need that negativity.
4. Learn how to meditate.
5. Spend more quality time with my pups and chickens. They make me happy and love the attention so I have no reason not to take a few more minutes and give them some <3 love <3 and attention.
6. Find a fitness regiment that fits me. I'm not looking to lose a ton of weight because I'm comfortable with my body at this time and my weight. Nor do I want to spend hours upon hours at the gym. Losing 10 more pounds and toning up would be nice, though.
7. Keep up with my dietary changes. I've been gluten free since August (2013) and a pescetarian (even though mostly vegetarian) since June (2013, the 9th to be precise) with a few slip ups and cheats. I feel so much better without the gluten and I like my choice of no meat, save seafood. Sugar is the next thing I plan to tackle.
8. Write in my journal. This goes along with the venting but I think it's a good resolution to have for this year even if it didn't involve venting.
9. Organize the house, my priorities, and my life.
10. Complete projects. I start them, I'm gung ho about them, and then as soon as the end is in sight, I move on to the next one or just altogether drop them. I'm going to start by finishing the ones I began in the last six months.
I love the eggs! And I love my chickens!
First eggs! December 28th.

There's a face in one of the tiles. How cool!
Still have to weave in all ends - which will suck, but it's all together. Yay!
