Howard looked to the side and shook his head. An ugly feeling rose in his throat. “Yeah? Well tell him–” He quickly slipped his shaking hands in his pockets. ”Tell him he doesn’t have to and that I’m doing just fine.”
Sheena could tell how distressed she’d made Howard by the way he avoided her eyes. Shame pooled in a blush on her cheeks. “Okay. I will. I’m sorry, Howard. I’m so sorry.” She wished she hadn’t brought it up, of course Aidan was still a bad subject. “Look, let me buy you a coffee or something to calm you down.
