         With a grin and an eyebrow raised thinly in a challenge, he plucks the menu from the blondes hands. 

                    “ As I said, I can’t imagine you affording anything here so there’s no need for that. ”

                 The catcher’s brows furrow slightly at the words spoken in a foreign tongue. He goes over each of them in his mind, slowly translating the sentence, the color draining from his face as he does so. 

                         ❝ M-Mei-chan… ❞

               He supposes that he should have warned his boyfriend about the multilingual chef ahead of time…

     He hums lazily, leaning his cheek on his boyfriend’s shoulder and resting there a moment before straightening his posture. Mei was bored here and rather impatient. He wanted to go back to the dorms like the man said they would after stopping by here.

                     Shinomiya’s mid-bite when the blonde boy across the table murmurs the words in French, an eyebrow raising as he finishes off the bite of one of his signature dishes and sets down his fork. He’s not nice enough to let it go.

    “ Narumiya-kun… Is that a foreign language? ” He asks in Japanese, a look of feigned curiosity crossing his features.

             “ What is that you’re speaking? ”

     He gives a short laugh at the statement.

              “ Ha! Good mannerisms? Who knew he’d grow up to be such a great actor. And don’t tell you think you’re being polite here. ”

   He raises an eyebrow.

           “ Surely you know nothing of the life of an owner chef -- I’m much more than a mere chef. ”

     Blue eyes scanned the room, running down the walls, past the decour and to the floor. His lip curled up, looking less than impressed with his surroundings.

          ❛ I doubt that’ll happen though. ❜

                 “ Well, it’d be a wonder if your palate could even comprehend the flavors arranged within my recette. It’s highly doubtful. The only reason Kazuya can tolerate such a high class meal is because I’ve been polishing his palate since birth. ”

      He gives the blonde a smirk and an easy shrug.

                “ So lets not waste my ingredients, yes? ”
