My son and I are starting a cloud chamber build! Hooked up Peltier plates to power, a heat sink and fan and managed to go from 20 degrees Celsius to -3. Pilgrimage to the Computer Science History museum today. I got to hold a vacuum tubes, see original pieces from the first general computer the ENIAC, learn about the first commercial computer the UNIVAC, gaze upon an Apple 1 signed by Steve Wozniak, reminisce about pre Google Alta Vista days and pay homage to SGI and the birth of computer graphics. Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes and thoughtful messages! I feel so loved.
