He'd admittedly gotten caught in a daze while watching the rain. He isn't sure what prompted it; rain in this city was nothing like what he'd grown to love in the cloudier fields of [The World]. This rain brought a chill to his bones, but he still can't help but reminisce. Â
âA-Ah, I'm sorry--â he forgets sometimes, how large he is. Tall and awkward, taking up more space than he probably should. He must have also forgotten a sense of perception of the real world. You didn't bump into people while immersed in the game, even in crowds. You could push past anyone without a thought.
The girl's bluntness has Endrance flinching, and so he shuffles outside and into the shower. He debates on putting his hat back on, but decides against getting it soaked. The realization dawns on him suddenly that he is in the real world now. His actions had consequences that he would face alone; the thought terrifies him.
âErâyou--â he can't get his words out over the sound of the rain. His chest tightens, and suddenly he's Kaoru again. Endrance focuses on a name, that name, his very anchor. He knows he should stand on his own feet, knows he's made so much progress, but still he reverts to this. âH-Haseo!â his voice, unused to rising above a whispery drawl, cracks under the weight of sudden volume. âDo you...do you know someone by that name?â
