Oh you are not alone believe me. I am avoiding everything to do with the doc because the kid's involvement is my line in the sand. And you are a better person than I am because I don't actually understand why Louis has to do this anymore. Whether it be contracts, closet, career etc. I'm at a point where none of those things are acceptable reasons for using a child on such a big scale. And I'm truly astounded by how many people are saying just focus on Louis and ignore the kid because that is not the point at all. It's that this is so fucked and needs to be acknowledged as such.
Right? And I wish I could not care so much! But I just CAN’T! In my head there are two options
1) louis is the real father and hence the SHITTIEST father I’ve ever heard of, the laundry list of reasons being too long to recount but there’s a reason the first half of that kid’s life isn’t in the doc, and I’m sorry as mostly women in this fandom if he did have an oopsie baby every single thing about how he handled it, as both a millionaire and a man, is fucked up (and to be clear I don’t believe this, I’m just saying this is one of the two options)
2) louis is not the father, this is a stunt and for nearly seven years now he’s been burdened with this albatross of a fandom divider, and instead of putting to rest rumors or taking an ACTUAL DNA TEST he decides the best thing to do, for whatever reason, is to dig deep into the false narrative and hope he can have his cake and eat it too. I’m super pissed at this on many levels and whatever his reasoning, yeah, I have a nephew F’s age, and I can’t imagine burdening a kid with a legacy that is doomed to blow up one way or another, at some time or another. It’s super fucked up. It truly is. And I “trust” Louis, in that I get he’s making savvy career moves, and I believe he genuinely cares about the kid. But you know how when you’re in the middle of a shit relationship or a horrible job or an abusive teacher you really can’t think clearly or realize the true magnitude of the fuckery until you’re OUT from under it?? Yeah I feel like bbygate has warped every participant to the point that this is nbd to them. Meanwhile me and anon over here are like WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK
