Eating Healthy Doesn't Have to be a Chore II Parker
It does not matter what you want to do with your life, keeping your health pyramid in balance is crucial to success. Social health, mental/emotional health, and physical health each need to be given attention.
I would like to point out that weight and body type can actually be a pretty crummy way of pointing out if someone is healthy or not. The girl who sits beside me in Health claims to eat a Big Mac three times a week and have half a bottle of Diet Coke a day. This may be a bit exaggerated, but still. This girl's form is thin, yet her heart is in very bad condition. I, on the other hand, have ruled caffeine out of my life, don't eat fried food, and work out daily; still I have "love handles," but I can run like a machine and the old ticker has never been better.
Many people avoid eating healthy because they believe healthy food to not taste as good as unhealthy food, and healthier food seems to take longer to prepare and cost more. Yes, this is true, but have you ever thought of making vegetables the main part of your meal? Or eating more lettuce? Did you now, if you're not feeling especially hungry, having a salad will fill you up fine?
Grilled chicken instead of steak. Fresh beans instead of canned. Eat the crust on your bread, why don't you. Fruit instead of crisps for an afternoon snack. And water can actually taste pretty good if you drink it cool and with a little lemon in there, and you drink it often. Make your body used to healthy foods.
