International Talk Like a Pirate Day Challenge!

I’ve messaged the usual suspects on FFN but I thought I’d offer the challenge here as well, in case some of you who no longer utilize FFN also wish to take part.

It’s September again and we all know what that means: International Talk Like a Pirate Day is coming up on the 19th! We as a fandom haven’t really had a true challenge in a while, and what with the show ending I’m afraid of our little fandom’s embers dying out. So! In order to provide some sustenance to our fandom I’m issuing our challenge this year but I’m doing it a little differently, since I don’t remember the rules we used before. XD Pirata Codex: It has to be a minimum of 1k, but no max. Write as much as you like. Must prominently feature Sheldon and Penny, but does not have to be shippy if you want a wider audience. Since we’re starting a bit late, we’ll extend the deadline to the end of September (but if you still don’t get it done before then, post it whenever! No pressure!) Only dead men tell no tales, so look lively and remember to have fun!

I've stopped watching TBB a while ago... Could shenny actually happen? :o is that the direction it's going? Lol like I said I haven't watched it in so long

No, it was never going to happen because they promised Galecki that his character would get the girl. He’d originally been asked to try for the part of Sheldon and told Lorre he’d rather play a ‘love interest’ as he’d always been the sidekick that didn’t get the girl. He’s very close to the writers and Lorre and they wouldn’t go back on that. Even with the obvious chemistry of Jim and Kaley. Its a tragic waste but of course they are all rolling in dough so they don’t care.

The Little Bang Theory fizzles to a close very soon. Only two more eps on 16th May to air. Not a single Shenny episode in season 12 and it’s been pretty dire. But I’ll always remember who made me tune in and I’m thankful for the joy they brought me. SHENNY will always be the unrealised potential on the show and will always be ours!
