(As found here) The Alliance Military Vocational Code system classifies the career path of all serving personnel. The MVC consists of one letter and one number. A soldier's MVC indicates proficiency, not rank. The letter notes career path; the number indicates level of experience, as indicated by service record, technical scores, and commendations. All 26 letters are used, and numbers run from 1 to 7. Like Garrus and Shepard get mad at them for doing something bad one day and are like “CHILD, WE DIDN’T RAISE YOU TO BE LIKE THIS, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?” And their smartass kids are like, “WE WERE ADOPTED, REMEMBER?” Then Garrus and Shepard are like “GDI CHILD WTF YOU LITTLE FUCKER” but they can’t even really be that mad anymore because it was so hilarious.

[ooc] I like to imagine that Garrus and Shepard adopt a turian boy, a human boy, and a human girl and that Garrus and his two sons have a pact to protect his daughter always. GARRUS PROTECTIVE OF HIS HUMAN DAUGHTER, THOUGH, GUYS. ESPECIALLY WHEN SHE HITS HER TEENS AND DATING GETS INTO THE PICTURE AND SHE’S ALWAYS LIKE “OMFG DAD STOP SCARING MY BOYFRIENDS IN A REALLY CHARMING WAY.” But you have to go through her brothers before you can even meet her dad and she just facepalms about it all the time like “why me, i’ll be single forever.” Also the turian son and human son like nearly attached at the hip and ALWAYS getting in trouble together. Shepard catches them trying to sneak some sweets and they both just SCAMPER AWAY SHRIEKING. Then when they get older they’re the brothers who are also friendly rivals and always like punch each other in the arm and grapple and lovingly talk shit about each other and make really bad jokes and come-backs like: “YO MAMA” “WE HAVE THE SAME MOM, YOU IDIOT”
