“You didn’t find Jesus, He found you. He wasn’t lost, you were.”
— Matt Chandler
What if God is knowing exactly what’s going on in your life right now and he already prepared everything to work out for your good? What if he sees you, your struggle, your anxiety and just wants to tell you how unnecessary it is to worry about the future because he loves you and cares too much about you to leave you hanging. Would you believe him if he would write you a letter, telling you that he forgives your sin and that he already gave you everything you need? Would you believe a soft whisper in your heart, telling you that you are so precious, loved and beautiful and that the almighty God is for you and that you have his favor? Would you believe a gentle, excited thought in your mind, full of hope about the amazing plans he has for you? Because it’s the truth. That’s exactly what he says about you. You are his masterpiece and he is there for you, not for a moment forgetting you. And no matter what you’re going through, you’re growing there. You’re not lost because your shepherd knows exactly where you are. And the moment you decide to search for him and look to him, you’ll see how he cares for you.
God changes your plans to fulfill his.
It’s weird how you can one day be employed at a job and the next day you can be unemployed.
It’s weird how one day you can be with someone that you have been with for 2 years or even for 3 months and the next day you can be single.
It’s weird to know that you can be attending college and the next moment you’re not.
Whethers it’s within a day, month or even a year. Your plans go out the window. Things you thought you would be doing by now has changed because God knew that it was better to trust his plans then your own. Everything that lead up to now was all apart of God’s plan. Have faith and believe the almighty God has better for you coming soon.
“I’ll make it, because He carries me.”
— Deuteronomy 1:31 (via randytemple)
“If God is good and God is good to me, then I must fill in the gaps of all the unknowns of my life with a resounding statement of trust: God is good at being God. I don’t have to figure my present circumstances out. I don’t have to fill the silence left behind in another person’s absence. I don’t have to know all the whys and what-ifs. All I have to do is trust. So in quiet humility and without a personal agenda, I make the decision to let God sort it all out. I sit quietly in His presence and simply say, “God, I want Your truth to be the loudest voice in my life. Correct me. Comfort me. Come closer still. And I will trust. God, You are good at being God”
— Lysa TerKeurst (via daughterbydesign)
“I found I had less and less to say, until finally, I became silent, and began to listen. I discovered in the silence, the voice of God.”
— Søren Kierkegaard
Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. Philippians 3:13-14 The past can’t be changed. What has happened has happened. But I can make choices today that will determine my future. And so can you. I don’t know what pains, sorrows or sins you carry. But I know that God can turn it around and use it to give hope to someone. That’s what Jesus does. By putting Him at the center of our lives, throwing off what hold us back, and by recognizing that the plans of God for our future are bigger than the pain and regret of our past, we are able to get up from wherever we are and move forward into the amazing future He has set before us.
“It’s not about finding the one. It’s about preparing yourself to be the one.”
— -Jefferson Bethke
“God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.”
— Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis (pg. 50)
“But do get married when you see who God is making somebody to be, and it lights you up. When you want to be part of that story of transformation. That journey to the future. When you are well aware it will be a long and bumpy ride, but you don’t want to miss one mile. Because you believe in God’s calling on them, and you want in.”

“Realize that to know Christ you must lead a dying life. The more you die to yourself, the more you will live unto God. You will never enjoy heavenly things unless you are ready to suffer hardship for Christ. Nothing is more acceptable to God, nothing more helpful for you on this earth. When there is a choice to be made, take the narrow way. This alone will make you more like Christ.”
— Thomas a Kempis (via contrariansoul)
“I’m proud of you for being brave enough to take on this world alone. I promise you, one day you’ll wake up and realize you were never alone at all.”
— Taylor Alison Swift (via herhopeistreacherous)
