(I’m sorry but I can’t do screenshot) Is it true? One more episode called the new friend? It’s polish website where you can watch episodes, for this one there aren’t any videos (filiser.tv/serial/sherlock/s04e04/the-new-friend/11686) (I tagged some people because I think one of you could know the answer, I’m sorry if you didn’t want to be tagged) @ifyouarelookingforqueerbaiting

Audiences across the country will see the Polish premiere in cinemas on January 7, 2016
Warsaw – December 08, 2015 –BBC Worldwide Poland has partnered with Best Film for the first theatrical screening events of Sherlock: The Abominable Bride, marking the debut of Emmy Award® winners Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman on the big screen in their iconic roles as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson. The feature-length cinema screenings will premiere on Thursday, January 7 across the country. Theatre audiences will experience 20 minutes of exclusive, additional footage which will include a guided set tour of 221B Baker Street hosted by co-writer/executive producer Steven Moffat prior to the feature, and a “making of” short film starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman and many more immediately following. Sherlock is produced by Hartswood Films for BBC One and co-produced by Masterpiece.
Tickets for Sherlock: The Abominable Bride will be available at the end of the year. The special theatrical event is expected to play in over 60 theatres across Poland. More details will be available soon on the official Facebook event: Sherlock w kinach.
Sherlock: The Abominable Bride will see Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman reprise their roles as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson in a one-off episode set in Victorian London in 1895. The episode has been co-written by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss with performances by Rupert Graves, Una Stubbs, Louise Brealey and Amanda Abbington. It is directed by Douglas Mackinnon (Doctor Who, Line of Duty).
Sherlock is a global phenomenon, engaging audiences from Berlin to Beijing, from Texas to Tokyo. The show has been sold to over 240 territories across the world, won 12 BAFTAs, 7 Emmys® and a prestigious Peabody Award as well as accolades at the Edinburgh TV Festival and the Television Critics Association. Sherlock made its mark in U.S. pop-culture being one of only three British TV shows that have appeared on the cover of Entertainment Weekly.
“Sherlock on the big screen. For us, it’s a giant leap backwards - into Victorian London. The mean streets of 1895 have never looked so good,”states co-writer Steven Moffat, October 2015.
“It’s not suddenly going to be a different show. It’s essentially our Sherlock as if we’d always done it set in 1895. It has the same sensibility. The language is obviously slightly different but we wanted it to feel as funny and as vivid as our modern-day one. Otherwise it would be a sort of dusty period piece which is not what we are interested in,” states co-writer Mark Gatiss, August 2015.
Yes, this is my language. Weird, yes but I like it.
So me being me, I sent an email to my nearest cinema asking if they plan to show Sherlock special, and today I got a reply that they’re planning it in mid-January and now I’m the happiest kid in the neighborhood.

—> Fans are always having a hard time with the amount of time between seasons of Sherlock…
"It is increasingly hard to get everyone back together because of everyone’s schedules. We’re all very keen to do it. In a way, it’s a good idea though - you come back for three weeks and you’re on just long enough for people to not get pissed off! We always say that you get one James Bond film every two or three years - compared to that this is a treat! We start filming the Christmas special on Jan 6. When it will be aired is up to the BBC. And then three more. So this time there are four films."
According to today’s news, the BBC is planning to license some of its top shows to be turned into theme park rides. This seems like a prime occasion to resuscitate my own concept for a Sherlock theme park. The Beeb are very welcome to use my design ideas: all I ask in return is a little one-on-one Cumberbatch time, which I’m sure they can arrange at minimal cost…

I just thought that some of my Polish followers might be interested in this. I just typed the title because I was curious and didn’t expect to find anything, but just look at this. This is unexpected, but really nice because it’ll save me all this stress with ordering from amazon
annd they misspelled the title of course
