I just liked the sound of “Violette” and “Lettie” is a cute nickname. Her surname “Delaneige” (“of the snow”) was sort of a play on “Delacour” from Harry Potter. Her family was from a snowy area; I always envisioned it looking like Flanoir from Tales of Symphonia. So, Violette Delaneige. Snow Violet. I thought it was pretty. ^^
