You know, I didn’t see myself liking you at first. But I did anyway. We barely spoke when we got to know each other 2 years back. And I actually do think there was a blessing in disguise in this pandemic cause it created a little space and we got to know each other and talk which felt like eternity.
We spoke about almost anything. Life, family, quotes, music, quarantine, Star Wars, boys... I felt like I could open up and just be myself around you. I didn’t need to pretend to be someone I’m not. Although, I wasn’t in the right state of mind. My little head was clouded by a boy who was playing mind game with me. And you listened to me pouring my frustrations and heart out. You even scolded me for being an idiot who’s caught in someone else’s game. Cute.
We started hanging out with an excuse of starting a project. Which eventually turns into more projects. Even when we were in lockdown, I would sneak out to meet you just to work on our little project. The more time we spent together, the closer we got.
The days we’ve spent together made me noticed your little gestures. I loved how you tucked my hair behind my ears, how you hugged me from behind, your forehead kisses, your cuddles, how you pet my head, how you pinched my cheeks... slowly, I fell for you. Your smile, your cheekiness, your jokes, your laugh, just all of you.
I want to tell you how I really feel. But what would you say? Do you feel the same? Or maybe not? I want to tell you but I don’t want to lose all of this. I don’t want to lose you.
I wanted to tell you in person but I got scared. You looked so stressed that day and I didn’t want to add more stress with my silly confession. So, I texted you the next day instead. And when you didn’t respond, I felt like crying cause I thought this is it. And then we spoke on the phone cause I needed to clear things before we become awkward.
I did not regret telling you. I wish you nothing but happiness. Even if our smiles look different from now, I hope you know that you make me happy for once in my life. And I want you to know, you will always be dear to me.
