Never did I imagine that life in the island would be much more fun with these people. A year and few months ago, I started working at the Siquijor Provincial Hospital and was given a chance to know them. At first, I was kind of intimidated with the type of bond they already had (they have known each other for years and I was a newbie in the place, btw and it felt like I will never relate to them) but they changed my viewpoint and made me feel the other way around. I instantly felt at home and it also felt like I have known them for quite a while now.

I will forever be grateful to them because not only that I was able to make new friends but also, I have learned a lot from them. They taught me things with regard to working in a place where you have no one to trust but yourself and you can always count on few people (I’m referring to them) whenever you feel like work is draining the whole energy out of you.

Time may come when we have to part and take a different path but one thing is for sure, they will always have a special place in my heart, no matter what. Moreover, I will always be proud of these girls for whatever they achieve in the near future.

Bohol, Philippines.

Spent a day exploring the alluring wonders of Bohol. Met the distinctive, tiniest monkey in the world commonly known as the tarsier (Tarsier Convention Area, Loboc, Bohol), visited a sanctuary full of vivid butteflies (Bilar, Bohol), had a closer look at the impressively beautiful Chocolate Hills (Carmen, Bohol), conquered a daring ride called Zip Bike at the Chocolate Hills Adventure Park (Buenos Aires, Carmen, Bohol), enjoyed a luscious meal on a floating restaurant while being serenaded by a local performer (Loboc River), overcame my fear of snakes, I carried an albino snake Hoho (Laya, Baclayon, Bohol) and went to some historical places like the Blood Compact Shrine and the Baclayon Church. I shall say that day has been utterly fun and full of adventures!
