Alternative Doctor Who concepts - The Daleks

The pictures are from the Japanese novelization of the episode “The Daleks” - the series’ second arc - published by Hayakawa Bunko books.

One of the funny things of all this, is the title of it there in Japan. Instead of “Dr. Who and the Daleks”, they gave the book the title 時空大血闘! (Jikū Daichitō!) - roughly translated “Great Space-Time Blood-War!”. The TARDIS also had a different design compared to the big blue box we are used to, the book cover shows a regular red telephone booth instead.
