cyrus looked around, scanning the room with a furrowed brow. there was so much to do ! he was a bit overwhelmed by it. so, he chose the closest person to him as his first victim. “truth or dare.”

sipping her champagne, paulina raises her eyebrows at the mention of truth or dare. a game she DREADED in her childhood, always picking truth to save her ass from her friends potential outrageous challenges. she wasn’t one to rock the boat, and she desperately avoids anything that can lead to embarrassment. “truth, though i’ll give you a warning.” she pauses. “I always pick truth, might not be too much fun to play with me.”

VENUS. the planet of love, beauty, and all things luxurious. the ruler of libra, the ruler of paulina. the autumn gala over exceeding her expectations, a breath of fresh air for the masked beauty as she takes it all in. it’s nice to have a break, a night of no worries, fun, and of course CHAMPAGNE ( though she prefers a fine wine ). “I just LOVE the theme, the masks, the royal flair, it’s perfect.” she’s practically GUSHING. “what do you think? I personally am enjoying the fashion statements and the decor.” @gallagherstart

“So, let me get this straight,” they began, fingers tapping away on their phone as they sent a text to their dad. “People are actually confusing each other for someone else… because of a mask that barely covers their face? Couldn’t be me.” Do better Gallagher students. @gallagherstart

paulina has always had a NICHE for facial recognition, a few silly masks didn’t phase her. in fact, she’s made it a sort of GAME for the night ( even keeping a mental tally of the identities she’s correctly guessed ). the brunette laughs. “eyes are very telling, it surprises me how much of someone’s identity can be seen in the eyes alone.”

arden .

arden looks up from his phone, dark hues glancing over the girl. was there a reason she was talking to him? it wasn’t like he was giving out the vibe he wanted some small talk but then he notices the worried look on her face and the sour expression on his face softens. “uh sure, can’t promise I’ll be much help though what are you looking for?”

she trying her best not to PANIC just yet, though everything in her wants to. this isn’t JUST a bracelet to her, it’s the closest thing to her mother she has left. it’s her prize possession, something she’s NEVER come this close to losing forever. “I hate to be annoying, really, it’s just I LOST my mom’s pandora bracelet.” a pause. “y’know, the ones with the silver charms?” paulina manages to pull up a picture of her wearing it, zooming in on it on her arm and showing the other. “it looks like this, and it’s gotta be in this hallway somewhere, UNLESS someone’s already found it.” and she hopes that isn’t the case.

juliet .

she’s just returning from class to drop off her bookbag with no intention to stay for more than a few minute when she notices someone else in the hall, clearly looking for something on the floor. juliet takes her earbuds out as she approaches, ready to ask the girl if she needs any help even before she’s asked. “yeah, of course. what is it you’re looking for?”

paulina tries to contain the ANXIETY she feels every time the thought crosses her mind that she may never find her bracelet. she can’t help but go straight to the most dramatic outcome possible, though, she tries to ignore it. with a nervous smile, paulina quickly shows juliet a picture of her bracelet, well, technically it’s her mothers but she inherited it, making it the most important thing she owns. she HAS to find it, there’s no other option. “it’s my mom’s so, it’s really important to me, I don’t know how I could’ve lost it...the clasp is broken, I think.”

isabel .

SHE’S ON HER WAY TO CLASS, early, of course, with her earphones playing some russian podcast she figures would help with her pronunciation. though she pulls one out when she notices the brunette look a little unsure, pressing pause and removing the other at her question. “ what did you lose ? ” isabel wonders, already scanning the hallway slightly.

she sighs of RELIEF when the other stops to help. paulina had been worried she didn’t hear her, spotting the earphones only AFTER she’d already called out for help. “sorry.” she apologizes because she feels BAD for interrupting whatever had been on the other end of them. “oh um, my pandora bracelet.” it only takes her a moment to pull a picture up of what it looks like on the screen of her iphone. “it looks like this, I swear it must’ve fallen not TOO long ago, I remember wearing it this morning.”

eden lifts her gaze from the book in her lap with reluctance and then spends a full two seconds staring before she responds. “i’m really trying to think of a polite way to say no, i promise i am.” she blurts out, typically her blunt self. “unless you’re looking for a wad of cash you can split with me, i don’t see the benefit in helping you, honestly.”

paulina is taken aback. she sometimes forgets others aren’t as PLEASING as she is. being nice, whether it was fake or not, was her cup of tea ― her NICHE. she was the friend who didn’t think sugar coating the truth was wrong, the one who would always tell you what you wanted, no, what she thought you NEEDED to hear, so the rather UNPLEASANT response is a bit frustrating and confusing to her. paulina just can’t UNDERSTAND why she couldn’t just PRETEND to be polite like the majority of people do when they don’t want to do something for someone else. and then there’s a sigh, her lips pursed together as she tries to remain cool. “wow, okay then. thanks for the honesty?” a pause. “I guess...”

HER BIG BLUE EYES are searching, scanning every inch of the hallway -- a clear sign that she’s looking for something she’s misplaced. not just ANYTHING, something special. her wrist is bare, a tan line where her mother’s pandora bracelet normally hugs her skin. “sorry to bother you but, do you think you could help me look for something?” @gallagherstart
