"Yeah, yeah. Of course I get what you're saying. I was listening. Maybe just say it again?"
"I milked a cow once."
"listen pal, i got a dead woman on ice and a murder to solve, so quit yankin' my chain and lets cut to the chase: what was your relationship with wanda maximoff?" agatha shoved the photo into their face. To her, it was an image of the witch, but to any one with a sane, spell-free mind, she was holding up a pokemon card. jiggly puff to be exact.
"well?"
"That's Purin. I like that pokemon. I wanted to see if I could stay awake through it's song. I have insomnia."
"Uh — no. Ant-man & the Wasp are not here. They haven't been for a while, actually. They went missing after that whole Thanos thing. Maybe I can help instead?"
"Okay... Can you help me commune with the souls of ants? I'm curious if they have them."
"If someone says multiverse like I'm supposed to know what it means one more time, I think I'm gonna get hostile."
"If they say it in a different way is it okay?"
"I know I might not be the face you want to see, but I'm here. If I can help, I will. It's the least I can do after... everything."
"I'm typically more comforted by the faces of the dead, but yours does not disturb me. No need to apologize."
"Did you know they don't sell walkman's anymore? I mean they do, but you can't just go out and buy one, you gotta pay some asshat online. Fricken' kid at Best Buy laughed at me and then tried to sell me an iphone pay plan and I was like--dude, I don't need an iphone, unless verizon's got cell phone towers across the galaxy I don't know about--which they don't--I just want to jam out to my tapes. Then he called me a fossil and said that he couldn't help me. What is with these earth kids, man--they're a buncha' dicks."
"I don't consider myself particularly phallic.
"what is that!?"
"The whispers of the dead."
Are you afraid of yourself?
"In a way, yes. Am I scared that I will be hiding in the closet ready to scare me in the night like some spooky boogeyman? No, that would be silly. I'm afraid of what I could do to others. That one day I may not be strong enough to be in control over the spirits and may cause damage I can not take back."
Thoughts on your teammates?
"They are interesting. I like interesting things. I feel that we all have a lot to learn about each other. I am no exception. I sometimes feel that they might not like me or that I'm doing things wrong, but I hope to change that."
Do you ever worry about living up to the high expectations of being an X-Men?
"I do not know. I am worried, yes. About many things. I am worried about controlling my powers not just for the x-men but everyone. I scare myself and I do not want to scare them. I like being part of something now and I'd hate to hurt them."
