~Quick Charis bio~
Charis Hart was formerly known as Madelyn Murphy. Her father Keiran was on the board of a big Communications company but had underworld ties and illegal business deals that had helped him get where he is.
She is the same ‘Madelyn’ Ray Hartell has referenced dating previously, the relationship ending when the Murphy’s realised the case Ray was investigating would expose their business and ruin them. Keiran was the one who hired Riggs to get rid of Ray when he refused to dispose of the evidence (though Ray believes she knew and agreed to the idea).
Madelyn apparently split from the Murphy’s (so she says) and changed her name to Charis in the process before travelling to Japan, where she met Shigeru before they eventually formed LENS.
