Hey! Here's the video process timelapse of the recent W40k Imperial poster fanart that I shared (sorry it took so long, I had unexpectedly much work these past two weeks and this took some editing to make it concise).
You may notice a few minor jumpcuts and missing bits (like the draft sketch for text position/proportions, and the overall final assembly) because I've been jumping between various apps a lot and I only have recordings from Procreate and one small bit from Heavypaint. But all in all I think it should be a pretty understandable experience.
Hope it's not too fast nor too slow to grasp, and probably be aware there may be some flickering seen in case of epilepsy or something.

For the Glory of the Imperium! I’ve finished an artwork of my Rogue Trader Esther I started a few months ago! It even feels weird parting with it after all this time.
Context: She's a Commissar with Illustrious Glory triumph which is a background as an Imperial propaganda posters legend. So I've been wondering for the longest time how those posters could look considering W40k aesthetics. I imagine clear and blunt wartime posters pushed in the direction of nearly religious imagery with fervent detailing but still looking like something that was painted.
Also I dusted off my calligraphy skills for this one, so every bit of text here is hand-lettered over a span of a few nights because clearly only through pointless toil and solemn misery can I capture the spirit of 40k💀 Consider me contractually obliged to bring attention to it every time I post because I spent so much time doing it lol. I could be your autoquill equipped servoskull anytime

Hey, thanks for tagging me @cawyden! Here's some personal info (which should've been some nice RT fanart instead but I've been slacking off, I'm sorry!)
Three Ships: Tough. To be frank I mostly obsess over particular characters but not so much ship anyone. I often really love frenemy-type dynamics or unlikely-work-partners situationships more than anything though, but I don’t see them romantically most of the time unless it’s explicitly canon. Still may be worth listing some of my faves since there’s heavy chemistry involved: Phoenix Wright / Miles Edgeworth (Ace Attorney), Harrier / Kim (Disco Elysium) — I'd bite off my leg if I must to not disappoint Kim. Zagreus / Thanatos (Hades) — this one I ship in every sense alongside the other two available ships from Hades.
First Ship: The first one I was legit getting weak in the knees over was Hibari Kyouya / Rokudou Mukuro from Katekyo Hitman Reborn (I feel old)
Last Movie: I believe it was “Kung Fu Hustle” that was leaving Netflix a couple of weeks ago and it was stupidly hilarious
Last Song: I’ve been weirdly obsessed with “Herald of Darkness” from Alan Wake 2, I’ve rewatched the music video waaay more times than I deem healthy
Currently Reading: “Quackery” by Lydia Kang & Nate Pedersen and “Eloquent JavaScript” by Marijn Haverbeke (boy I’m so bad at finding time for books you could probably ask me again in a couple of years and I would still be reading these exact same ones)

UPD: For those who have previously seen this posted by me somewhere else a few months ago: I'm now atoning for my sins committed against his majestic jawline and have considerably reworked the face (giving him some extra 15 or so years of age lol). That face has been bothering me for a while now, I'm finally at the point where I've been staring at his in-game portrait long enough to be able to embrace the immeasurable vastness of his jaw and introduce some changes. That's alright if you like the previous one better but I do think this version looks more like him, my job here is done🌹
Speaking of that nose I've been getting some witty (dirty) comments about that augmetic so those are part of the story now lol. She probably gets that a lot. But she's a strong woman, she normally handles that (imaginary) composure check just fine. Normally

Hey thanks for asking! If there's one thing I have sorted out regarding her background it's probably this. In my head her nose augmetic is tied both to her Illustrious Glory Triumph (i.e. being a propaganda posters legend) and to the Shadow of Torment Darkest Hour (i.e. surviving a brutal renegades attack). She was left for dead during an insurgency having endured a continued and very personal violent beating to the face by one of the subordinates who despised the strict discipline she enforced, thought to have been treated unfairly and by a stretch of imagination had grown to associate her face reproaching him from the posters around their precinct with all the cracks showing in the glorious facade of the Imperium. Despite sustaining grave injuries, by the Emperor’s grace she was found timely and rescued, however she lost her nose as the result of the ordeal. Following her recovery from the attack with newfound disdain towards anarchy and chaos she had fallen victim to, she was determined to serve as the face of the Officio Prefectus’ authority and persistence even more fervently, her renown now starting to spread further across the worlds of the Imperium. The freshly installed signature nose augmetic colloquially gained her a number of lousy nicknames the most common being Commissar Iron Prow — which albeit was not completely devoid of mockery was ultimately uttered with fear and trembling. Years after the horror and injuries she endured never fully left her coming back as occasional aches, shortness of breath, and vertigo, handicapping her athletic performance and sometimes waking her up at nights drenched in cold sweat. (Please pardon me the purple prose) I joke to myself that her Analytics System (Forge World origin talent) is primarily located in the nose augmetic lol (probably not how it works in 40k but hey I'm just here to have fun)
