So many had been injured, lost, killed by the unforgiving and unseen storm that it was pure enjoyment to Zach. They came to celebrate their god, a being they worshipped and look what they received in return. Maybe more of them would question their own beliefs. That royalty, that kings couldn’t save them, that praying and offerings wouldn’t work. The mage found himself grunting, pushing his body more and more, only stopping when he sensed someone approaching. He needed to be wary of the king and those under him now, play his cards right and allow the snake to roam. “You may enter-” He spoke out from the silence even before the knock came, holding his body up with one hand as he turned his head.

Stepping back, Dane didn’t want to make the clearly startled man uncomfortable. He put his hands on his own hips and shrugged his shoulders. “I do not care for crowds.” He admitted in a smooth calm tone. He was much more comfortable and relaxed being out on the rocks than he was completely boxed in by people. It was a rare thing to happen in Bergia and at least then all the people were Northerns who Dane loved dearly. These were all strangers. “I just needed a moment to breath. I had no idea this rock would be come so sort of landing space for yourself.” He bowed his head slightly in apology to the other man. He was clearly a mage, after all, and most of the ones here where hear because they worked for a king of some sort.
@northern-wxlf
Hmm, he figured other’s held the same view for crowds he did. A lot of people were annoying, like animals herded together and easy to pick off. The way the male bowed only told him he may very well be a prince, his crown was different, not as flashy as the others. Great, naked with a prince that’s all he needed was for fingers to be pointed. “I’m going to get dressed, you can stop that.” He looked the male over before turning to step from the rock. “You shouldn’t be gone for too long, so many people around you never know what dangers might lurk.” He warned, glancing over his shoulder. “So, which kingdom do you belong to?”

So it was up to him to answer questions. That, Rene could do easily enough. “Casther is never so loud as this.” The general hubbub of voices and ringing laughter was enough to seep out from the party like a buzz over the surrounding areas. “It’s like being in the ocean. I’ll dive in, get involved, but every so often I have to come up for air.” Admittedly, from the vantage point, the festival grounds – and Medes herself – was looking quite fantastic. “Though, with this view, I might have to borrow this spot from time to time.”
@timebearsfruit·
“What if you didn’t have to come up for air?” He questioned, curious if the man would stay beneath the ocean. Though possible, he wasn’t sure if he ever wanted to be beneath the water that long. Refreshing, often beautiful, it was still not something he could see making permanent. “Until you find another spot, that has an even better view.” He could step forward, not that he would fall to his death but it would be enjoyable to see it from another viewpoint. Land didn’t always provide, so take it to air born.

Regularly, Dane found himself wondering away from the festival. He never went too far and always made sure that he was within eye sight of someone. The last thing he needed was for someone in his family to ask for him and for no one to have seen him. That would not have been good but he did need to breath. So a walk down the beach was an order. Dane had started climbing the rocks when the crow landed. He hadn’t given it much thought till the green swirl of magic caught his attention. Watching the mage shift, Dane blinked a few times. He was rather awe struck by the whole display. “Watcht where-” He jumped up when the man started to fall and grabbed his hand and arm to stop him from going completely over. “Are you alright?” Dane asked still holding on so he had time to get his feet under him.
@northern-wxlf
Well, this was new, brow cocked as he stared at the male who had startled him in the first place. He didn’t like being touched, although if it was to help him he figured it was okay. “What are you doing out here?” That could probably be asked of him as well. Only once he got his foot did he clear his throat, arms to his side as he stared at the male. “Shouldn’t you be enjoying the festivities?” He would have to be more careful where he leaves his things and when he changes, otherwise, this might happen again. Normally he was very aware of his surroundings if anything due to the magic he possessed. It was rare to catch him off guard, even so much as to startle him.
@northern-wxlf
He wasn’t aware anyone was around, the medium-sized crow flexing its wings as it came down upon the rock half beneath the sand. With a few noises, the crow started to change in a swirl of green energy, feathers falling from its body as it shifted into that of the mage, standing atop the rock in the nude. His clothing was set aside, hiding before he had shifted, he wasn’t expecting anyone to be down so far from the actual festival. With his body still in it’s shifting process and mind focused, he found himself stumbling back until he fell from the side of the rock into the sand. Startled at the presence and losing his footing.
@lukarxmirez
The mage was just walking about, grapes in hand, wine glass in the other as he popped a few of the chilled grapes into his mouth. People were having so much fun, so much peace was present that a part of him felt bad for wanting to take that away. Honestly, these people had no idea what lurked around the corners, day or night people just couldn’t be trusted. What happens if a war would happen once more? So many lives lost, they have known peace for far too long. With the mage lost in his thoughts, he didn’t notice the person directly in front of his path, before crashing right into them enough so that it had him quickly stepping back, a glass of wine dropping, with his eyes a bright green. His natural reaction when touched, almost as if it were a threat. “I’d suggest watching where you are going-” Even if it was him who wasn't watching.
crownedsolomon:
Though the festivities were in full swing, and Solomon found himself enjoying them, he saw the sun falling and he wanted to have the chance to watch it for himself. Walking away, and further down the beach, he climbed a small cliff that overlooked the vast ocean and the festivities down below, only to see that there was another already there. “I hope you don’t mind if I join you, ser,” the crown prince spoke as he moved to walk closer to him. “I always enjoy watching Solan’s descent, and I try to make it a habit to always thank him before he falls to slumber.”
@crownedsolomon
If he wasn’t trying to keep his this peaceful and charming facade he would have laughed. Yet somehow he managed to play it off, instead, he simply smiled at the man who approached. “Why not, the company is always enjoyable for moments like these.” Enjoyable or not, he did want to be alone but it looked as though that wasn’t going to be the case. He could always jump, fly away and land elsewhere. “I’m surprised someone managed to leave the festival.. So much is going on.”
timebearsfruit:
Silence was an odd commodity, some desperately seeking it while others were chasing it away. Rene found himself caught in the pull between the two, both lured and repelled by that absence of sound. At his approach, Rene almost hastened as he saw the man lingering near the edge, but slowed as he saw the calm stance. No jumpers, today. (Or so he hoped. If needbe, he’d slow the man’s descent, or stop him entirely.)
“Solan’s blessing over Maren,” the mage said, as he came to stand at the other man’s side. “Almost a sign of the reason we’re here.”
@timebearsfruit
“Almost...” The only reason he was even present was that of his king, otherwise, he wouldn’t have thought about coming to this festival. He cared not for these blessing, sacrifices, and the way they idolized gods. To him, it wasn’t about them but simply the ocean and the sun. “What dragged you away from them?” His gaze lowered to all those having their fun. “Was it not to your liking?” The mage questioned, curious if others shared the same distaste for large crowds.
The view overlooked not only the beautiful ocean, the rocks, and beach but some of the festivities taking place along with the people below. “Breathtaking is it not..” He spoke out, though did not bother to turn around at whoever just approached. His frame stood just at the cliff's edge, one false move and he would fall. This was a great view, one he wanted to enjoy, having snuck away from the crowds. He could handle them to a certain point, figuring some alone time from the laughing and cheering would be best. That’s how he ended up so high, ended up in such a perfect spot. “I’ll join shortly, for now, I’d like to watch the sun reflect off the ocean and it’s presented waves as if they were a show.”
