poetry masterlist

I sometimes post my old (and new) poetry (and sometimes random thoughts) so this will be sort of a masterlist of all my original work. i hope you like it :)

just like weaves my emotions hit me all at once and then they retreat they come in moments like lighting in flashes and then again

it's around 2am and im tipsy and happy and an open book now maybe drinking isn't for me

i miss you i miss our chats i miss our walks i miss our sleepovers but i won't tell you that i'll wait for you and when you come back

the snow is falling i sit by the window watching the snowflakes watching them fall it's so peaceful the trees the grass it's all covered in

by god i miss the early days of the pjoverse where the big three kids weren't meant to exist because they were too powerful and dangerous. the other kids at camp had skills but not powers—apollo kids could sing and shoot, hermes kids were fast, hephaestus kids were good at metalworking, etc. really only the demeter kids had powers in helping the strawberry plants grow quicker and healthier. but like will had to sing a hymn to apollo and call on his father's power to heal annabeth's arm and it wasn't even completely healed. etc. but children of the big three were terrifying. so terrifying that the big three themselves believed they shouldn't be allowed to have them anymore.

percy being claimed and everyone dropping to their knees and then promptly avoiding him out of fear, percy only training with luke after that. thalia coming back in som and everyone being frozen and not moving to help her, equal parts awe and fear...mostly fear. percy and thalia clashing in ttc and everyone falling silent and backing away as chiron orders and pleads with them to stop. percy realizing nico is a son of hades and being horrified but lying to cover for him and keep him away from both the titans and the gods.

percy commanding the seas and having trouble believing that his father commanded it all, that he could command it as well. thalia using lightning bolts in battle like they're simply weapons and not forces of nature. nico cracking open the earth and commanding the dead, sapping the life from the world around him as well. percy setting off an eruption that displaces half a million people and being horrified by his own power, believing it'd be better if he never returned and people just believed he died.

Reminders for fanfic writers who think it “doesn’t count”

✦ Your writing counts. like, a lot. If someone felt something because of what you wrote, then it matters. That scene you almost didn’t post? Yeah. Believe me, someone out there bookmarked it for a reason.

✦ Writing existing characters doesn’t make it “less than.” You’re building arcs, crafting dialogue, emotion, pacing. You’re studying character psychology like a scientist. That’s not “just fanfic,” that’s storytelling.

✦ “but it’s just fanfic” ...no. STOP, it’s craft. It’s understanding tone. It’s hitting emotional beats. It’s layering theme and backstory and prose into something people feel. You’re doing the work, you just don’t get graded on it. (Which, honestly is a blessing.)

✦ Writing fanfic means you love stories enough to live inside them. You care, deeply. You care enough to reimagine, to explore, to add something of yourself to a world you didn’t create and somehow still make it feel brand new.

✦ Someone out there rereads your fic like it’s their favorite book. Maybe they’ve saved a line to their notes app,or they quote it to a friend. Maybe they just think about it when they’re having a bad day. That little fic you almost deleted, it’s comfort now.

✦ Your comments section is real. Every “I needed this” and “this made me cry in a good way” is proof, you don’t need a book deal to matter. You don’t need a publisher to have an impact, because you already do.

FANFIC IS WRITING! Fanfic is yours.

You’re not “just” anything. You’re a writer, own it. Be proud of that.

its this technique where when something breaks instead of just fixing it as it was they instead fix the broken pieces with gold to symbolize that breaking isnt a bad thing it can make as stronger and shouldnt be frowned upon

YES the Thunderbolts have a fantastic team as family dynamic, yes they are living in Avengers tower, yes history is repeating itself and 2012 tower fics are so back. BUT!

instead of "Alexei eating poptarts" or "Yelena in the vents", we must come up with new headcanons and make history

Bob always does normal domestic chores, often getting in the way of important missions and spy business. "All I'm saying is Bucky is our best sniper" "It would be a much quieter assassination if I just slipped into the condo and cut his—" "Hey sorry guys, anyone have laundry? I'm doing a load"

Yelena and her guinea pig always eat meals together at the dining table. Everyone has their Chinese food or barbeque, meanwhile the rodent is loudly munching on a salad right beside them

Bucky is the mom and always keeps them on track. "Ava you have a dentist appointment in the morning, and bring Bob so they can add him to the insurance. Lena how was therapy? Alexei, I said no vodka until dinner"

Alexei is always coming up with new promotional ideas for the team. Cartoon tv show, cereal, toothpaste flavour...every day he thinks he's come up with the next big thing. Whenever they actually get put into production (Wheaties) he collects and saves it, and won't let anyone use a different product. (He threw out Yelena's frosted flakes and it took both Bucky and John to get her to stop attacking him)

Ava likes to phase and sneak attack her teammates at random. She claims it's for training but really she just thinks it's funny hearing them scream

John gets blamed for everything, even if it isn't his fault. Especially if it isn't his fault: "who ate the last bagel?" "John." "Where's my hair straightener?" "John had it." "Whose turn is it to unload the dishwasher?" "Johnnnn"
