Had a very nice chitchat about life and happiness with Ronnie at St Stephen's Green. Not wearing headphones definitely has its advantages! ☘️
Day 0
Soooo.. I am in my apartment right now recapping the first day of this journey aka my travel to Ireland.
The fligth was quite good. I do not know whether the guy (formerly) next to me sat on the wrong plce twice, but... since he left (again) I had no-one sitting next to me while the aircraft was hella full.. no complain! :D btw.. I had no idea what language the toddler in front of me was speaking but it sounded like a minion talking to itself.
At the accomodation I met one of my prospective ¨roommates¨. He is from Spain and will stay for a few months here; since I do not want to name anybody here I will simply call him Lucas (since this is the most popular spanish forename from a random internet page). He told me that there are two more mates in this apartment: a spanish girl (let us call her Lucia; same choice as before) and a japanese girl (who I will call Hina); I have not met the girls yet but I sincerely hope we will all get along well for I am staying here for the next month! :D
After unpacking my luggage I went to the nearest supermarket (which was a Lidl - my German heart appreciated this; funfact: this is the exact Lidl at which I bought a large amount of chocolat pains when I visited Dublin last year :D I will totally do the same this time!). I took one of those nice trolleys that you can trail behind yourself and put way too much stuff in it while I strolled through the passageways so that I had a bit of trouble fitting the whole purchase in my backpack and another bag I carried along afterwards. When I left it was already dark and the wind blew the rain in my face and through my clothes..
But now I am lying on my bed, writing this down and reeeeally looking forward to having ¨breakfast¨ in a few minutes.. my leftover pretzel rolls and some sausages are waiting for me.
I guess thats it for today. Tomorrow the language school course starts and I am excited how it will turn out.
Peace out! :D
Act I DubLon
So it begins.. still waiting at the airport in Cologne and still not realizing that I'm about to head to the island for quite a while.
