Really, Liv? - A Shiloh and Olivia rambling.
Nine to five. Everyday. Shiloh would wake up, morning light waking her up at around five AM, a mental note made every morning to black out the curtains she had promised herself, only to break day after day. The blonde would run a brush through her hair, giving up on her appearance quickly, before tying it into a bun. She'd pull on a pencil skirt, from her wardrobe which were a sea of the same similar colours, a pair of shoes that gave her blisters on the back of her feet, and a jacket from her collection, that all looked the same, although she insisted otherwise. She had her dream job, but the monotony of her mornings was almost as ridiculous as her unpredictable afternoons. Everyone had always assumed that she'd be where she is now, or the exact opposite. It seemed wrong to tie a free spirit down by the legs, but there was something in the non conformity or rather conformity that drew Shiloh to pick a ministry job. But her job was anything but ordinary, rather it was extraordinary.
Shiloh, however the girl who once wouldn't stop rambling, just six months out of Hogwarts found herself in a job where she couldn't talk about her work. The department of mysteries took a heavy toll on her, in the fact that the information she learned was hers alone, and the thought that there was something to be learned that others would never know scared the living life out of her. Each morning, she'd creep from her room, and down the hall. Her shows clicking on the floorboards, careful not to wake her sleeping roommate. Sometimes she'd walk into the lounge room and find boxes of Chinese food that she'd forgot to put in the refrigerator the night before, or shot glasses from the previous nights escapades still sitting on the coffee table. But more often than not she'd walk into the fire place and practically disappear. Time would pass, mysteries solved? No, but things just becoming more and more curious. She'd come back home, the same way she'd left it - through the fire place. She'd come home, wired, and make another continuous mental note to train herself to become a morning person. Six months out and Shiloh felt as if nothing had really changed, other than the fact that she didn't have someone to clean up after her.Â
Before she could even take her shoes offShiloh paused, trying to figure out the scent that filled the room. She took a shoe off, trying to work it out, it was familiar, although wasn't what she was expecting to walk into, not today anyway. However, Olivia had proved herself to be a rather interesting roommate. She took off her other shoe. Nodding slowly, working it out, however the room was empty, and the sounds of muggle music playing from a 'DC' player filled the air, and she couldn't hear a thing. She walked over to it, the bottom of her feet stinging slightly as she did so, staring at the contraption she had still failed to figure out. The smell still hit her, and the room appeared cloudy in the darkness which seemed to surround her. "Fuck, how do I turn this thing off" Shiloh shrugged, pressing buttons, but not being able to figure out how exactly to turn it off. Turning around to walk towards the hallway Shiloh paused, before looking down at the coffee table, three tea cups, an ash tray, some paint, a sketch book, and a lighter. An ash tray.. An ash tray. "Fuck." Shiloh mumbled bending down to put out a joint which was still burning. Taking it between two fingers Shiloh walked down the hall, her foot steps silent on the floor boards this time a day. Knocking on the door of Olivia's room Shiloh heard no response over the music which was drowning everything out of her head. After hearing no response Shiloh decided warning enough, and opened the door. "Really, Liv?"Â
