Book Thump || Open
Melody should be the one that was sorry. She was the one that freaked out and ran away from Elyon at Pride. Which still turned her cheeks pink and her ears even redder.
Watching all the books float Melody couldn’t help follow them with her eyes. How much did she wish she could be open with her own magick status.
“Oh no I’ll be fine no worries, I guess um just try not to hit me in the head for a third time?” Melody awkwardly teased pursuing her lips and running her hand through her hair. “Um I should apologize about Pride. I was really overwhelmed I really shouldn’t have headed out that night. I promise it wasn’t you.” Well it was her but still.
Elyon actually found herself laughing a bit, her cheeks glowing a bright fire red. A bad thing about having blonde hair, it doesn’t hide burning cheeks.
“I promise that I will try my absolute hardest to keep your head safe from me.” She teased a little in return. “I don’t think I can survive a three for three track record.”
Two for two was embarrassing enough. Thankfully though, it didn’t seem like she was the only one who was feeling a bit fidgety by all that was going on. It looked cute on Melody, although that was a thought Elyon kept quiet to herself since the last time she mentioned something familiar Melody had ran away.
Oh, talking about that running moment.
One of the books that was midair to be shelved suddenly dropped right to the ground. Dammit.
The sudden apology had caught Elyon off guard and her magic was showing it. She quickly turned around to pick up the book.
“No, no it’s fine. I probably didn’t help either. I was a bit tipsy...” Very boldly tipsy. She got up now and tucked some of her hair behind her ear. “So I’m sorry if I might have made things uncomfortable or anything...”
Maybe she should just say that she won’t shoot for a four for four track record since it looked like she was already running at three for three...
