hey!! it's been a while 😭 i've been forgetting abt tumblr bc life has been doing a bunch of stuff recently (not in a super bad way, just busy!!) i hope you'll feel better soon!!
sucks that the french team is out of the world cup :C (personally i'm just an argentina hater but im also a huge world cup poser, rooting for anything my friends are rooting for)
erm.. also.. imagine if daniel makes an enchante lingerie line for max 😋 in those baby blues 😋 and naming it something cute but subtle and sexy (nothing off the top of my head rn 😔) but imagine! daniel peeling the lingerie HE designed for max off of HIS baby and max just whining for daniel to speed up 🛐 already 🛐 so that daniel can fuck him 🛐 maybe daniel pulls max's cute lace panties to the side instead of taking them off 🛐 so he can watch the silk hug max's ass 🛐 and cock 🛐 as he fucks his darling boy 🛐
love you lots!! hope the vibes get better soon 🫶🫶

hiiiiii bubbles!! i'll be honest with you, i haven't had time to be on social media a lot recently (tbf it's been making me feel bad cuz i'm missing a lot, and i always feel like im late to every party, and it makes me open social media less, and it's a vicious circle 😭)
i won't lie, i am my father's child and a massive football fan, so this world cup has been mostly (keyword mostly, usa genuinely disfigured the world cup) fun to follow, but i am not a fan of the french team at all and i am viciously happy they're out (in a very humiliating way for them) (i am a hater at heart) (also dw i feel like we're all argentina haters atp, and i am so so glad spain won the cup even if they weren't my first choice, but they largely deserved it after their last two games)
anyways enough about football let's talk lingerie!!!!
i don't have enough spoons to write a blurb or anything (which saddens me greatly, but the little inspo i have has been going into my fest fic in the hopes of finishing it before the deadline lest i cry about it) but i love love love the idea of daniel designing a lingerie enchanté line just for max!!!!
daniel slow slow slowly undressing max, carefully taking every little piece of the lingerie set off because he doesn't want to damage it or anything, kissing max to shut him up because he's being all bratty and whiny telling daniel to hurry up
then daniel pushing the panties to the side, slowly fingering max open until he's all teary and drooly because daniel is pressing right against his prostate and max is all leaky and ruining his pretty panties, and when daniel finally finally finally fucks into him max can't help put come in his panties!!!
i love you lots too bubbles!! i hope life treats you better soon, get some rest, stay hydrated and treat yourself because you deserve it <3 <3 <3
“spicy pillow” jokes aside, I think @flowerkrone’s tags deserve a serious reply:
#my old phone looks like this on my shelf lmao #im too scared to touch it to throw it away #idk what trash this even goes into when its at this point
The pillow-shaped object here used to be the phone’s battery. It’s not a battery anymore. Now it’s a balloon full of corrosive, pyrophoric chemicals and hydrogen gas and it’s one puncture away from burning your house down. I am 100% serious. You should be scared to touch it.
But you gotta touch it, because you gotta get it out of your house before the pressure builds up to the point where the balloon pops. This isn’t going to happen soon – there is no need to panic – but it will happen eventually.
And, indeed, it doesn’t go in the ordinary trash. You put this in the ordinary trash and you’re gonna set the garbage truck on fire. Don’t do that to the garbage collectors, their job is hard enough already.
The first thing you need to do is get a fireproof container. The most common household item that qualifies as a fireproof container is a cast-iron cookpot with a cast-iron lid – often sold as a “Dutch oven.” Any other cooking container that’s unreactive, has a very high melting point, and has a lid made of the same materials will also work: enameled or stainless steel, Pyrex with glass lid, etc.
However: Do not use a pot with a PTFE-based non-stick coating. If the battery does explode, the fire will probably be hot enough to degrade a PTFE coating, producing toxic smoke. (Not that you should breathe the smoke from the battery fire either, but PTFE breakdown products are worse.) Do not use a pot made of aluminium or copper. The fire might even get hot enough to melt those.
Whatever container you use, you might have to throw away along with the phone, so don’t use your good Dutch oven for this. Go to a thrift store and buy a cheap one.
Once you have the fireproof container:
Gently pick up the phone and put it in the fireproof container. If possible, gently tape the phone to the bottom of the container to prevent it from bouncing around. Don’t put any padding in there, that’ll just make a fire worse if it does happen. Put the lid on and tape it shut.
Put a label on the container, something like “DEFECTIVE LI-ION BATTERY – FIRE HAZARD”.
It is now reasonably safe to move the container around. However, if the battery does explode, the container is very likely to leak smoke and get hot, so keep it in a well-ventilated area and away from things that will be damaged by heat. Don’t leave it exposed to the weather, either.
You need to find either a hazardous waste disposal site, or an e-waste recycler that will accept defective Li-ion batteries. I can’t help with that because I have no idea where you live.
However, your local fire department, if you have one, will probably be happy to help. Call their non-emergency number. Nothing is on fire yet, so this isn’t an emergency, but things that can easily start a fire are still within the fire department’s responsibilities. Tell them you have a phone with a bulging lithium-ion battery, you put it in a fireproof container, and you want to know how to dispose of it safely.
If the fire department tries to tell you this isn’t dangerous or it’s okay to throw it out in the regular trash (with or without fireproof container), hang up on them and write a cranky letter to your local government representatives, then keep looking for a proper disposal site.
When you do find a a hazardous waste disposal site or an e-waste recycler, call them and make sure they will take defective Li-ion batteries, before showing up. That’s also a good time to ask if they will let you have the fireproof container back.
Max isn't the last person GP is expecting to see on his doorstep at 8pm on a Friday of an off weekend, but he is for sure pretty low down the list.
Not that he is unwelcome, he never is, but he was sure he would be in Saint Tropez or laying on his couch playing a game or sitting in the sim on a call with his friends. Instead, Max is here, a bag dropped at his feet, looking tired and a bit sick, skin pale and shadows dark under his eyes.
"Hi," Max greets him, sounding as exhausted as he looks, "sorry to show up like this."
"You know you are always welcome, Max," GP tells him, not letting his surprise get in the way of his manners. "Come in."
Max nods, huffing out a breath as he bends to pick up his bag before following him inside, steps heavy. He leans against the wall as he takes off his shoes, lining them neatly next to GP's, and GP can't help but frown at the weary slump of his shoulders.
He wants to ask, wants to know what is happening, what is wrong, because clearly something is wrong, but instead he leads him into the kitchen, still smelling like the pasta he had had for dinner.
"Have you eaten, Max?" he asks, grabbing a glass from the cupboard and filling it with water without asking. He offers it to Max who takes it with a muttered thanks, shaking his head in response to the question. He's still holding his bag, apparently unaware of it.
"Do you want anything? I have some leftover curry, or..."
"Anything is fine," Max cuts him off, "I'm not really hungry."
GP frowns again, eyeing Max's sunken cheeks. He always tries to keep his weight down during the season, but that doesn't mean he doesn't get hungry. It also doesn't mean that it makes him look like this, sickly and grey.
Again though, sensing it's not the right time to push yet, he just nods, pulling out the container from the fridge and setting on heating it up.
"Why don't you go wait outside? It's a nice evening, I was going to sit out there for a while anyway."
For a moment it looks like Max wants to argue, maybe offer to help, but then he doesn't, nodding once and finally putting his bag down again to head outside from the back door, leaving it open. GP watches on as he settles down on one of the lawn chairs, sighing out a long breath and closing his eyes.
Pushing down worry, GP waits for the curry to warm up, trying to figure out what this all is about. He knows work has been hard lately, especially after the most recent crashes, the team straining under the weight of the season, fraying more and more at the edges, but he's never seen Max looking like this. He's seen him get angry, he's seen him upset, he's seen him shouldering conversations and responsibilities that shouldn't have been his to bear, but he's never been this...tired. Haunted. Like something is eating at him from the inside.
He doesn't like it.
When he finally joins Max outside, his eyes are open again, fixed on the stars starting to dot the sky, the last of the daylight hidden on the other side of the house.
"Thanks," Max murmurs, accepting the bowl but not moving to eat, seemingly lost in thought.
GP gives him a minute, listening to the crickets starting to replace the chirps of cicadas in the darkening garden, then nudges his elbow, careful not to startle him into dropping his food.
"Eat, Max," he tells him, gently but firmly, hoping that the usual engineer tone will help.
Max takes one whole bite before stopping again, grimacing slightly.
"Sorry, it's not..." he says before GP can ask what's wrong, "it's of course good, I just..."
Maybe Max is just sick. Maybe he caught a bug, and didn't want to be alone in Monaco, and decided to come to see GP instead. It wouldn't explain all this hesitancy, but...unless it's a more serious illness. GP swallows, trying not to think about all the options that would make Max look like this. Finally, unable to wait any longer, he shifts in his seat to face him and asks.
"What's wrong?"
To his surprise, Max's neutral expression crumples, and he rushes to put the bowl on the ground next to his chair as he hides his face in his hands.
"I'm sorry," Max says, voice muffled, "I'm sorry I am so...I don't..."
Fear surges through GP's veins even as he leans forward to wrap an arm around Max's trembling shoulders, heart beating fast as the hypothesis of it being an awful illness solidifies in his brain.
"It's okay, Max, just tell me, we'll figure it out," he murmurs, hoping to still sound reassuring despite the terror making his hands shake.
"I'm..." GP can feel Max's shoulders raise as he takes a deep breath, as he steels himself. "I'm pregnant."
For a moment, everything goes very, very still. The crickets seem to disappear as blood rushes through GP's ears, his throat clicking as he tries to swallow.
"I'm sorry," Max is whispering again, over and over, "I was stupid."
"No," GP finally manages to say, still feeling breathless, "no, don't apologize."
Pregnant.
He knew of course that it could happen, but he didn't know Max was a carrier of the gene for it. He didn't even know Max was in a relationship at all, even if this clearly wasn't planned.
It makes sense now, the tiredness, the weight loss probably nausea related, the fear...this could very well be the end of his career. He doesn't know if Max would want to keep the baby, but if he does then it would mean retiring, or at least skipping the next season. It would mean leave or at least dial back his involvement in the GT3 team. It would mean stepping back at the height of his career, not knowing if his body will ever be able to bounce back enough to let him resume it.
GP takes a breath, trying to pull himself back together and be the steady hand Max clearly needs. It's terrifying, he understands, but at least it isn't a terminal illness.
"Max, look at me," he orders, cutting off another apology. Max freezes, back tensing, but he looks up, too conditioned by years of working together to not listen when GP calls. His eyes are dry, but wide and scared, and his lips are bitten red.
"I can understand it's scary, but I am here for you, okay? We can figure it out, whatever you need." GP looks at Max for a moment longer, then softens his gaze and adds, "I'm not angry."
Max shivers at the words, muscles relaxing slightly as he slumps back on the chair, cheek landing on GP's arm still wrapped around his shoulders.
"I was so stupid and careless," he murmurs, closing his eyes, eyelashes inky black against the purple shadows of his eye bags. "I was drunk, I don't even remember."
GP hums, adding another piece to the puzzle. No secret partner, then, only adding to the weight on Max's shoulders.
"Do you want to keep it? What you want, Max, not what you think you should do."
Max shakes his head, but GP can tell it's not a no from the frown between his eyebrows.
"I don't know. It is of course a mess if I keep it, but I don't want to...I don't know." Max shakes his head again, then opens his eyes, expression almost pleading. "I found out three days ago and I still don't know."
"That's okay, we'll figure it out," GP repeats, tightening the hold on his shoulders.
Three days, probably stewing on it alone, sick and terrified. He doubts Max has been eating or sleeping much, and whatever his decision will be, keeping Max healthy is and always will be his top priority.
"Alright, this is what we will do," he finally says, watching as Max already starts to relax realizing someone else is taking control of the situation, easing the weight of it off him. "You tell me one thing that you feel like eating, whatever it is, then we sleep and tomorrow we have breakfast, and then we talk about it and decide what to do. Together. Does that sound okay?"
"I don't have breakfast anymore, it makes me sick," Max says, but there is a shadow of a smile at the corner of his mouth, and his eyes don't look as empty as they did before.
GP just raises an eyebrow at him, and Max rolls his eyes, sitting up.
"Yes, it sounds okay," he tells him, half bending down to bring the curry bowl back to his lap but stopping before quite getting there. "I can't eat that though, I will throw up."
"Smell too strong?" GP asks, pushing to his feet and taking the bowl away.
Max nods, breathing through his mouth once, then grimacing and holding his breath all together.
"Sorry," he chokes out, apologetic.
"It's fine," GP waves him away, already walking back inside. "Stay there, I'll find you something."
He's almost at the door when Max calls for him, stopping him on his tracks.
"GP? Thank you."
It might be a trick due to the little light remaining in the garden, but he looks already better than when he had walked in.
The first rule of fandom is have fun. The second rule of fandom is find an enabler and become an enabler. Yes you should write that fic. What if it was even hornier? What if it was angstier? What if you wrote it just for me?
the best fanfiction you've ever read was written by a woman in her 40s before she made dinner for her kids. it was written by a teenager after school when they should've been studying for a history test. and a barista came up with the idea while they cleaned the espresso machine and busser fact-checked it on their break and the post-doc edited between writing grant proposals and the nurse apologized for typos in the notes after a long shift and behind every drabble and one-shot and multi-chapter fic there is a person with a wonderful and interesting and chaotic life and it is such a privilege that we get to be apart of it because they decided to do this thing we all share, for fun.
"I have been thinking about something."
Rico looks up at Max from his plate of pasta, humming. "About what?" he asks before taking a sip of water.
"I was reading about this thing," it sounds like ting, "called free use?"

Or: Rico "Service Top" Verhoeven discovers that free use works both ways
The Lambiase crime family are in control of Calabria, and have been for twelve years. Following a three decade long war between the families, GianPiero had been the man to bring it to a close. Freshly crowned the head of his family's syndicate, he had negotiated a treaty which brought relative peace to the region. The relationship was almost fractured at the invasion of the Verstappen syndicate until GianPiero offered Jos, the head of the family, a significant amount of money for his son's hand the day he turned twenty-one.
or the max/gp mafia au
hmm is threesomes a kink? 😂 i was just thinking about your play date verse and about your ans jess' mommy/daddy/maxy au
my other guess is age gap?
threesome isn't like, a kink but its such an interesting dynamic to explore from a relationship pov! like two people is okay and fine and the "usual" in romance stories but poly relationships i feel are rarely explored (the only poly romance i ever read prior to f1 fics was just a reverse harem and neither the characters nor their romantic dynamics were explored much)
anyways enough rambling. age gap is definitely a kink i love age gap so much. almost all flavours of age gap are mwah chef's kiss 🤭
