It was only natural for people to have minor disputes. From stumbling into someone, to saying something insensitive without meaning to. People were bound to argue with someone at least once in their lives. Or, in Ichigo’s case, countless times. But firing off magic spells at somebody over an accidental collision was a bit fucking much. He’d noticed the telltale signs of the man having been in a bad mood the moment he was confronted, so he tried his best to peacefully resolve the accident.

As is plainly evident, this did not come to pass. He really didn’t want to have to punch someone's lights out after just having arrived in this world, seeing as that would attract the wrong kind of attention, but..

Well, at least markets are still the same thing in this world. Or any, for that matter. People beckoning him to look at all the ‘amazing’ items and ‘absurdly low’ prices was something he’d gotten used to during those busy shopping days back home. Not that he had that much money to throw at these people anyway, so why they even bothered with him was beyond him.

Then again, capitalism doesn’t slow down in the face of poverty. As long as you have something, they want it.

To say that Ichigo was unaccustomed to meeting unique individuals would have been a lie. But even this was outside of the norm of what he usually dealt with. This was like.. running into someone from a video game he played one time. Or a movie. They looked so.. futuristic. And.. Sci-fi!

To say he was a bit confused about his current circumstances would be an understatement. He wasn’t entirely clueless, of course. The entire message that had played for him explained where he was, more or less. His confusion seemed to stem from whether the people who had brought him here were friend or foe. Despite the ‘princess’ not having said so explicitly, it was safest to assume she had a hand in him being brought here.

She seemed amicable enough, to an extent. But bringing someone to another world against their will wasn’t something.. benevolent people usually did. Especially without much of an explanation. Her stark warning of venturing beyond the land’s limits also struck him as suspicious..

❝.. Not like I’m gonna find an answer on my own. And worryin’ the whole time isn’t gonna do me any favors either.❞

For now, be’d simply have to accept the hand he’d been dealt and come to unravel this mystery after familiarizing himself with this world. That, of course, meant breaking the one explicit rule set for him, eventually. He wasn’t much for rules or authority to begin with, anyway. The question now is..
