Hello guys! I’m back with another commission post! 

Now that I’m off from school for some time, I would like to see if I can get at least five commissions in before school starts again. I would like to see if I can earn some money for a binder and to help out some friends in need.

If you want a commission, the drawing can be of any character, whether they be an OC or from a show. *I refuse to draw anything discriminatory towards any group.* I can draw mild gore/blood. They are all going to be “realistic” portraits, and those pieces will be done for $5! The programs that will be used will be Clip Studio Paint and Paint Tool Sai.

Krita Got Better!

The first time I used Krita, I came across problems such as lag and heavy CPU usage. Through three computers, I kept hope because I knew Krita was a capable and promising software. Since getting my pen display tablet in 2016, I decided to see how Krita fared with it. It works fine with a UC-Logic tablet!

Now that I’ve tested Krita, I came across no problems in the program. Pressure sensitivity works. There is no offset cursor. It doesn’t crash at all. 

I recommend this program. It’s free to use, and it is now stable. Plus, the stock brushes are the best stock brushes that I have ever seen in an art program!

Parallax with Pen Display?

You can fix it! I learned from a review article that you could recalibrate the tablet and get a better result. How?

 You go into your tablet settings app

 Then you go to where to calibrate your monitor, 

Then you choose 4-point calibration or 9-point calibration (I do 9-point cal)

When you are given the calibration screen, hold your pen at a 45-degree angle, rather than a 90-degree angle (holding it straight up during calibration makes the cursor not align with the pen nib).

After calibration, confirm the results, and you will notice that the cursor is aligned with the pen tip!

Paint Tool Sai Not Working With Wacom Alternative?

Alright guys. I'm writing another journal. If you are like me and didn't want to bite the bullet and buy an expensive Wacom, and are experiencing problems with Paint Tool Sai, then this journal is for you. Like any other person, I would probably make this long and full of info to solve the problem, not knowing that the solution is only temporary. I now have a (most likely) permanent solution for you guys!

Okay, so download this English Sai Version (the original link was a journal on dA but it's gone now). Since it's a zip file, extract the folder in a place you like (people say not to put it in Program Files). Open up sai, and you might find the pressure sensitivity working, but the cursor is way off. So close Sai.

After that, open the folder, and go to the file named "sai". *If you have a pen display tablet, right click it and go to 'Properties'. In Properties, go to 'Compatibility', and check 'disable display scaling on High DPI settings". Press Apply, then OK. Open up Sai to see if the offset cursor was fixed, if not, close sai.*

After that, open up the file that is named 'misc' or 'misc.ini' in Notepad. You will see written text in it. Go to [Tablet Settings] and make sure TabletCursorMode = 1. Then go down to TabletMouseSimulation = 0.

So open up 'sai', and the cursor problem should be fixed. You have the program in front of you. Go to Others > Options > Digitizer Support. For 'Minimum Pressure', click detection pressure=0. For 'Coordinate Mode', Pen should be checked instead of Mouse. Press OK.

After that, the problems with the pressure sensitivity and immobile/offset cursor should be gone! If you have any questions or comments, feel free to ask! I hope this helps!!
