Chiaki is cursed. Nearly a year ago, he was poisoned with waters from the Sanzu River. It nearly killed him, but with some help from holy waters, he thought he was saved. Until about six months later, strange things started happening. He started having blackouts and violent outbursts. Paired with exhausting fevers and hallucinations. Scared he would hurt somebody, he ran. His disappearance did not go unnoticed. The Kuroko followed soon after. As his condition worsened, his attempts to elude failed. He was brought back to Shiba Manor, literally kicking and screaming.

Now doing what he should have done in the first place, Chiaki turned to Jii. And he had answers. Leftover water had gotten into his blood stream; sapping his energy and tainting his Mojikara. This time, there was only one way to save him. With Jii's help, Chiaki had to have the bad Mojikara sealed. Somehow, without sealing it all. Through a painful process - which involved burning a sealing character onto him - the energy was locked away with few side effects. 

There is no more pain. No more sickness. And his strength has returned. Occasionally, he has a Gedou inspired nightmare. There seems to be an increase in his Mojikara's power. Characters he writes are sometimes tainted a dark purple instead of his usual green. 

For now, its a day by day process. And a secret between him and the old man.
