So I know the worldâs falling apart but can we PLEASE talk about how @wendys just dropped a tabletop RPG?
I wanna talk about Feast of Legends.
Letâs start by digging into their 97 page playerâs guide and learn about The Clapback Queen, Queen Wendy, First of Her Name.
Feast of Legends takes place in the fantastical realm of Beefâs Keep in the nation of Freshtovia. Painted in a pretty negative light are the United Clown Nations, likely a reference to McDonaldâs, Jack in the Box, and the Insane Clown Posse.
Hereâs a map of Beefâs Keep, showing the wide variety of locations ranging from Lake John Silver to the Roast Beach.
Classes are divided into their Orders, including the orders of Sides, Beef, and Chicken.
Character sheets are accessible but still detailed. Rules on rolling stats are available, as is a free dice roller.
Thereâs a very good weapons table, including information on each itemâs throwability.
Also, presumably to justify this project to the marketing team, you get buffs if you, the player, are eating Wendyâs as you play, and you get punished HARSHLY if you are eating anything else.
I say this all without even taking into account the entire campaign handbook that theyâve included, which Iâm not even close to emotionally prepared enough to read at this point.
This is all incredible, and Iâm so proud of @wendys for making such a good decision to release Feast of Legends.

Truthfully all you gotta do to see how socially unacceptable this stuff was for ages is look at the names. Geek (from geck, and Dutch gek, meaning fool, mad, silly), nerd (big possibility is from nert, which is probably a corruption of nut[case]), fan (from fanatic). And thatâs not even getting into the negative connotations of things like Trekkie.
The largest problem is that the folks saying things like the tweet mentioned isnât coming from those men you mentioned, itâs coming from people who just 5 years ago would have been the ones that were tossing out geek, fan and nerd as epithets but now want a part of this and really seem to want to paint the older side with an ill fitting stereotype that has no basis in reality past or present.
I can attest to this, when i was younger (secondary school age) I let slip I was really into star wars and video games and most of the backlash i got was from girls and popular guys, being a Geek or a nerd wasnât always a good or âsocially acceptableâ thing a decade ago and most Geeks got shit from women

Soldiers are better trained and equipped to survive being shot at, and are capable of shooting back. Itâs really not that surprising, when you consider that school security in most cases is limited to a âno gunsâ sign, and a rent-a-cop with far too much responsibility.
Thatâs assuming your statement is accurate, of course. Wouldnât be the first time some claim about school gun violence was just fabricated for the purposes of disarmament.
