Etsuko can 100% read, and enjoys all sorts of books! However, she prefers listening over reading-- so if she can get her hands on an audiobook, she's very happy. Even better if she can get someone she's close with to read to her.

Though, she does tend to be picky about audiobooks. Partly due to her sensitive hearing meaning that certain voices can sometimes be grating to her ears with certain sounds (it's nothing personal, she assures you). But also partly because various accents/pronunciations can be a little jarring for her-- especially when it comes to fantasy books and such. If something isn't pronounced the way she's been reading it in her head, it jars her out of the moment and kinda unintentionally mars the experience for her.

"MY MY, LOOK here! Almost a full board!" Ah, she's swooning on the inside! And her tail is wagging like an excited dog, though she tries to ignore it for the sake of not embarrassing herself. It's not as if the missed points are deal-breakers-- she wouldn't have let Miharu into her home if she didn't see herself staying around her as SOME kind of long-term companion.

Also, in my head. Etsuko has two modes for music. Jazz & swing (sometimes electro swing, yes), and then sometimes you walk into her study and she's blaring metal while delicately working on a new perfume or candle
