It turns out that that was not the case at all. They just wanted to make them sign away their lives and align them with a group that was thought to be completely unrelated but in reality was in fact, one in the same. Yeah…you’ll definitely have your work cut out for you.”
“Wait- hold up, Dad. Were you- were you actually hoping that people got injured?” Hale stiffened a laugh. “And if yes, the follow up question being when did the ghosts repossess your body?” He joked. “And yeah... don’t remind me.”

Roni shook her head, as she approached. “Good for business I would not want to be a fly on your office wall these days.” Instead of opting for the chair across from him, she chose his lap instead. “I’m just glad that I didn’t fall for any of that shit. Then again my family’s human and my little girl is as human as they come right now. Though I’m a little pissed my Pack Master’s name is on that list.”
“Are you sure? You’ll be missing out on some very riveting ‘woe is me’ stories,” He teased, wrapping his arms around her waist almost instinctively as she fell into his lap. “We both know you’re too smart for that, Baker. And who needs some Cult run Homeland when I can take you to any dimension you want in a blink of an eye.”

“Pretty much. Underhanded hate groups, cyber hackings, random attacks. If the studio is consistent about one thing, it’s that 9 out of 10 group outings result in someone ending up in psychological trauma. And people love to worry, don’t they?”

“Cancel culture at its finest, huh?” Hale said, letting out a deep sigh, before turning and giving his good friend a light nudge. “How you two holding up? You doing okay?” He asked as he slide her phone out of her hand and tucked it into his back pocket so that she could have a moment of peace from it all.

“I’m not saying it isn’t. I’m just getting all too use to shit hitting the fan after these sort of things. And okay? What’s up?” He asked. His brow raising at her question. “As a faerie I typically try to avoid vampires, especially that of the ripper variety, but... I do know a thing or two about them. Rippers I mean.” Primarily out of his obsession throughout the 50′s to find the ones who took nearly everything from him, but still. “I-” Hale paused, thinking his words over carefully before saying, “I take it that friend you’re asking about is you?”

“I imagine it is. And brings up a lot of PTSD for some people. Personally, I’m not about this bringing up the unsavory ties to the Riley name. And how the Rileys can’t seem to escape those damn groups.”
“Sounds like you’re talking about someone in particular? And yeah. The past has a tendency to do that I’m afraid. To haunt you to no avail,” Hale let out a whistle, knowing that feeling all too well.

“No, see…all this was fucked up, but I am glad to be human because I didn’t sign up for none of that. Every time some shit comes out you should have a line of people crying and having tissues and shit because we always go from zero to mass paranoia, sadness and ptsd in a matter of 24 hours post traumatic thing happening.”
“Not saying it isn’t fucked. I just think it’s becoming a habit is all. Shit coming out after some suppose to be ‘happy’ get together,” Hale said with a shrug. “But, if it helps, I’m glad you’re human too, Garcea. So I take it you and that wife of yours ended up unscathed after all of this?”

I feel like that’s gonna hurt.” She felt herself relax into the embrace, giving him a returning squeeze. “Yep, that’s when. I didn’t what the hell was goin’ on but I quickly found out, and I think she did all this ‘cause of me.” She shrugged, guilt hitting her hard. “I don’t know what to say to get her out. I know she hears me.” She pulled out the compact that linked them even when one of them was in the sunken place to keep them in communication. “She just won’t respond. I can even see her there, balled up in the sunken place. I don’t know what to do.”
“Do I look like Sabrina to you? But, okay. Just take a deep breath, okay? Your insides aren’t going to liquify. I know Jack and she wouldn’t let that happen. Your sister loves you a lot, you know that? But- what do you mean by you think she did all this because of you?” Hale asked, glancing down at the compact in Heather’s hand. “You don’t have to. Just be her sister. The alliance gave you this, right?” He asked, pointing to the compact in the girl’s hand. “So, if Jackie had never got mixed up with them, you two wouldn’t have the ability to talk right now or see each other, right? So do you regret that she did it or are you still glad that she did? Does this change anything for you? Because if not, then tell her the truth. Tell her how you feel, how much you love her and how much you need her right now. Tell her that I will be waiting right for her when she comes out and then trust her. You said you think she did all of this for you, right? So trust that the girl who did all of that for her family, will be there when you need her most.”

“Are you making a reference to Silence of the Lambs? I’ve never seen that, past a clip of a very creepy fellow saying “hello Clarice” and a rather uncomfortable zoom in. I suppose if it gets me what I want, sure I’m down to play. First question, what was your first encounter with The Revelationists?”
“I was yes and excellent. Even though you do know now there is a movie night in both of our futures. And I’m afraid you’re going to have to be a bit more specific there, love. Do you mean face to face encounter or the first time they attacked the studio because those are two very different things. Or do you mean the first time I was aware I was encountering a Revelationist and not just a random anti-supernatural extremist?”

“Yes I’m aware. I’m supposed to be the lead by example dad, so pretty awkward revealing that public sex has happened quite a few times.” But he didn’t regret it. It was just awkward to admit to his son out loud. “But how do you know you don’t have anyone scheming to take us down? You never know. And sometimes, it can come in the form of a beautiful woman. It’s irrational I know, but I always have 9 worst case scenarios for every one good one. But I am glad that she doesn’t have any hidden agendas. So you really like her, huh?”
“Yeah. See this is why I chose to live by the ‘do the opposite of whatever I do’ parenting method. But, huh... remind me to avoid you two in public from now on. But, good for you. She really brings you out of your shell, doesn’t she? I mean I haven’t seen you this happy or this... lively in... well ever. And I don’t. I’m just saying the likelihood of that happening is about as likely as us being attacked by a tornado full of sharks or you being crushed to death by a vending machine. Actually, the vending machine thing is probably 10 times more likely and that’s saying something because I’m pretty sure you’re bigger than the machine itself. And... she makes me... happy. Let’s just keep it at that, for now, okay?”

He grinned and looked over at his old friend. “Dragged? More like begged me to come in.” He nodded. “Sure a drink sounds lovely right now.” He moved and sat down next to him.
“Begged? By who? You don’t have another old friend I should know about do you?” Hale teased, flagging the bartender over to order another round for the two of them. “It’s been a while, Mikaelson. So, out of all of the gin joints in all of the world, what brings you to this one? And don’t tell me you came all this way to have a pint with my old drunk ass.”

“That’s very unfortunate, I always prefer sex to deep and hard-hitting questions. But I also try not to ruin the delicate balance between work and personal life.” Beau smiled. “That was actually purposeful. If I ask you all the questions, we wouldn’t focus on me at all. Nice tactic that most people don’t notice during a conversation. They think I’m just very interested in their lives.”
“Funny. Another thing the two of us seem to have in common. And you say that, but I have a funny feeling, you’d ruined that delicate balance a few times before,” He told her with a cheeky grin of his own. “Oh, I’m aware. And yet I also know that a part of you is actual curious about my life. You enjoy figuring people out, don’t you? Another thing I assume we have in common.”
“Okay…thank you for coming in today, I just have a few questions for you in regards to these two organizations, which apparently are one, and thankfully did not blow anyone or anything up out there. No need for a lawyer or anything, I’m actually simply investigating to find the leader, to make sure that everything is dealt with accordingly, and get as much information as possible to keep everyone here safe. Can I count on your cooperation on this matter?” she asked. She had other sources as well and she would piece this puzzle together to figure out how to take them down before this situation got worse.
“Mhmm. Sure thing. I’ll tell you what- I’ll cooperate on one condition. A question for a question. What do you say, Clarice? You down to play?” Hale asked with a playful grin, referencing Silence of the Lambs as he did.
Keanu had heard that the attack would happen on the left side of the room. He made his way over, attempting to be casual. “Hey, not to sound crazy, but have you seen anything out of the ordinary on this side? Or in general?”
“Nope. Can’t say I have. Then again, I haven’t seen anything really in a long time,” Hale let out a low whistle, shooting his dad a playful grin as he did. “I did overhear some people whispering that the Alliance and the Revelationists are working together though which seemed pretty suspicious. Why? What did you see?”
“Oh! Look at that. Mass paranoia. Welp, this outta be good for business,” The therapist mused as his phone sped read out the list of the members of the Alliance and Revelationists in the article he had clicked on.
“Hale! I need your help.” She shook her head. “Sorry I didn’t mean to yell or sound frantic, but I’m freakin’ out. You’re a therapist, you can put me to sleep and hypnotize the Jackie outta me, right? Right? It works like that? ‘Cause…she won’t come out. She won’t answer me on the compact and it ain’t even my turn to be here.” @hale-hathnofury
“Hey Little Presley. And I am. A therapist that is. Not a hypnotist. Those are two very different things. Not that you can’t use hypnotism as part of therapy, but it’s rare if anything. But, you and I will figure this out, okay? I got you,” He said, throwing his arm around Heather and giving her a tight squeeze. “Let me guess- this happened after the list was leaked to the press?”
