The Psycho and the Ghost

Krieg was definitely not on Pandora any more. There was no sand, dirt or blistering sun. Just lush, green trees and grassy clearings. 

The Psycho didn’t like it… it looked all wrong. His grip tightened on his axe. He wanted to chop down those trees… maybe it was just the confusion… or maybe it was just a kink to his insanity… the fact was, he was so used to the searing heat of the Pandoran sun and the endless expanses of desert that when he saw this lush forest, his brain just drew a blank.

Then again, his brain rarely drew anything to begin with.

[Never seen somethin’ like this before…]

His inner counterpart commented causing the outer Krieg to hit himself on the top of the head. This place was to peaceful… Krieg didn’t handle peace well… 

Suddenly, he heard a noise behind him… someone was here… tightening his grip further around the handle of his axe he turned to face the disturbance, all with the intention to kill…

A girl had been wondering the forest for sometime now just enjoying the sun and the calls of the other Pokemon. It was such a nice day she wished nothing would ruin it. 

She walked along the path, which was odd for her usual floating place to place, humming to herself as she walked. The noise around her drifted off into a light murmur before she noticed a clearing between the trees. That meant a meadow! And that meant she could lay down and roll around to her hearts content. Excitement rose in her belly and it made her start to jog to the opening. 

“Sunshine!!!!” The girl called out as she breached the trees and jumped into the sun only to fall back once her blue eyes landed on the person who blocked the way. He was huge compared to her, making her slink back in intimidation. 

The man himself was enough to make this shiny girl want to turn tail and run but then the axe in his hand made her stiff. He looked like he was ready to strike and kill her withing a moments notice. No hesitation. This made the purplette whimper and back away not letting her eyes off him. “S-Sorry...Uh. Maybe I’ll just...Uh... Go..Somewhere else?” Beyond those words she was to freaked to move.

The Lucario shakes his head and reaches out for her hand. Once his paw gets a good grip, he gently helps her back onto her feet. Even for her, that trip looked bad. “Are you sure you’re alright?” he asks again, giving her a quick look over to be sure. She may have taken spills before, but he just wanted to be sure.

She nodded her head to answer him and as stealthily as possible got out of the bush. Brushing herself off she did notice a little cut on her arm but it was no big deal..It wasn’t bleeding. But what was was her forehead. She hit the trunk of the bush rather hard but it didn’t faze her..Not a bit. After so many spills her head became numb. “Well I feel alright..Everything is moving properly.” She giggled.

Ray lets out a small chuckle at Gen’s small spill before reaching a paw out to her. “Are you alright, Gen?” he asks.

The girl lay silently in the bush, legs sticking out calmly. She was used to this, grace meant nothing to her. “Yea? I think I’m alright. Does the bush look like it has spikes?” Gen managed to peek through the bush to Ray, snaking her hand out for him.

Gen’s eyes widened as she was so suddenly kissed. It made her blush and her heart jump. Butterfree rose in her stomach making her a little uneasy in her balance but she didn’t fall. Nope. But instead she started to float. Shyly the girl pressed back into the Lucario, kissing him softly. A smile spread her lips forcing her to back away slightly and giggle like a little girl- floating away in the process. Too caught up in the happy to stop herself.

Ray forms a smile as the other presses back into the kiss. It had been some time since the two had been with each other, and what better way to greet than a surprise kiss? As she began to float off after breaking the kiss, his paw reaches out to her and grabs her before she could get too far. “Having fun there?” he chuckles softly as he reels her back to him.

The girl hadn’t realized she was floating away, since it usually happened without her knowing anyway. The grab at her hand made her open her eyes and excitedly jump right into the Lucario. She was indeed having fun. She missed him. It was always nice to cross paths with him again. Maybe it would be better if she tamed her absentminded floating and stayed beside him this time. “Of course silly! You are here!” She hugged him tightly and nuzzled into his cheek fur before giving him another kiss.

Gen wondered around outside of town minding her own business until she tripped over a bench and went face first into the bush behind it.

What was this? A kiss?! She was being kissed!! And by Morty no less!! The girls heart beat quickly from the pressure between them, her face flushing a bright red. With slight hesitation she fidgeted in her spot then returned the kiss. She couldn’t help it. She liked the man- Just surprised he would surprise her like this!

✥ —Her tone hurt his heart. Apparently he was too rude to her, but oh his temperament. When he was mad, it was hard to get him calmed again. It wasn’t Gen’s fault, though. She was just trying to stay close to him. Close to him. The medium looked back at her, still a serious expression on his face and with a hand, he reassured her, putting it on her head. —”Hey, don’t cry. That was very sweet of you, okay? It just brings me bad memories, but it’s not your fault” —he said and smiled a little

Well now this was a predicament. She smelled like bad memories. Her face buried farther into the scarf as he pat her, eyes daring to peek through her bangs to see him smile. How could he smile at her after this? Oddly it made her happy that he did... But what was she to do now? Gen was frozen in place by fear and self hate. “I’m sorry....” She mustered, making a mental note to never see them again.

"Y-you would? You know my weakness… I can’t turn down free ice cream!" She took the other girl’s hand, giving it a gentle tug.

Eagerly Gen followed and held the others hand. "Now that's my kind of girl! Who wouldn't want free ice cream?!"

"Well, um… there’s a pretty good ice cream vendor in the fairgrounds, it’s not too far from here!"
