so many people genuinely underestimate just how much men are taught to hate women expressing any agency at all and how much they will go out of their way to discredit women even at their own detriment…for example that video feed where a woman got stuck in an elevator with 12 teenage boys and whenever she tried to alert maintenance that the elevator malfunctioned a few of those boys very loudly talked over her and gave conflicting information JUST to get a reaction out of her. there were so many comments basically saying that it wasn’t fair to bunch in every one of those boys with the deliberately harmful few because they didn’t TECHNICALLY do anything to interfere with the situation but the thing is they r all complicit…not once did they think to tell their friend to shut the fuck up or do ANYTHING other than stand with their hands folded and giggle at this woman begging them to be quiet. it really just feels like the same old story where time and time again men prove that they just don’t see women as their equals at all and that when push comes to shove they are just as untrustworthy and unreliable as their peers through their own negligence and pacifism

Breaking my silence on heated rivalry. Here's my main thought. It is so fabulous to me to watch these two like proper acting theory pilled animal work clowning physical theatre guys (a type i am highly familiar with) grappling in some kind of sisyphean hand to hand combat with some of the most awkward fanfiction dialogue ever written. And well sometimes they win. But always the point of fascination is the fight.

This is by no means to say they're not having a good time which they clearly are. They get to interpret and do sex scenes which is like enrichment for them. And they get to talk about their process which is also enrichment for them. one of the culprits here in the public obliviousness about covid is that medical science has completely failed to integrate the fact that infections and injuries have permanent effects into wider culture. it has been documented and known for decades that narcolepsy follows viral and bacterial infections but most doctors wont mention this to you and many of them dont even know about it. every single time you get strep throat, an ear infection, the flu, food poisoning, a bonk on the head, major surgery, sepsis, or cold sores, you have a N% chance to develop permanent disability from it. the 'shit happens' principle of medical science has been seemingly purposefully erased from the public consciousness and im not entirely sure why. american litigiousness and the drug testing process maybe. getting food poisoning from someone not washing their hands before making your meal at a restaurant can not just kill you, but it can give you a permanent chronic illness like narcolepsy, chronic fatigue syndrome, gastroparesis, whatever. instead of this just being common knowledge we have this bizarre concept of diseases as being ineffable and irresistible but simply an inconvenience all good citizens must endure
