Been thinking a lot recently (oh no) about the public opinion of kpop fans, and how there's a lot of humor surrounding the parasocial aspect of the industry.

It's so dumb. Like the people who make the jokes aren't even concerned about the well-being of the idols, and the fact they paint every fan with such a broad brush is annoying asf.

I could talk about how it all coincides with misogyny and capitalism, but I'm not here to write an essay. Much smarter people have already done that and will continue to do that. Instead I'm gonna say: It's just fucking fun? What's wrong with a little fun, if you're not being delusional, perverted, or invasive?

Like is it really so bad to call a celebrity guy who makes hus money off pretending to be the perfect boyfriend, your boyfriend? Who does it hurt to call some famous lady who makes coin off of people being overly invested in her instagram posts, your girlfriend? Like as long as you don't stalk them, try to make them partake in your fantasy, or ignore their humanity, what's the issue?

Like I don't know them and they're never gonna see my nonsense.

Anyway... stream my Boyfriend Dino's new single "Wait", buy tickets to my Girlfriend Yoon's tour "Teenfresh", and go like my Wife The8's new ig post, and let me go google whatever is going on with my Husband Jihyo.
