yknow i GET eridan was a genocidal prick but he was also like 13?? like he was an isolated kid with a neglectful “parent” and a supposed morail that honestly didn’t seem to give a shit abt him. he was never given the opportunity to learn or grow bc he was surrounded by other fucked up 13 year olds that hated his guts!! like what the fuck!!! he was so scared and lonely all the time and then he fuckin snapped bc no one on the meteor liked to talk abt feelings. i’m not defending him being an asshole who killed his friends (wait a second they weren’t even his fucking friends lmaoo) but he deserved to be given a chance to get better and have people in his life that genuinely cared abt him.
