i think the problem with Adam being killed off as that we were made to assume him and shiro were or were going to be engaged, and we only had four seconds of screen time of shiro mourning him. acknowledging their relationship w/ flashbacks of past moments together and having shiro (or anyone, really) mention adam after his death would have helped too? i dunno, it just seems like a way to properly acknowledge shiro’s sexuality w/o it being something people only knew if they read about it online
We weren’t made to assume anything. People saw things and turned it into whatever they wanted and if you were one of those who convinced yourself of Ad@shi then that’s on you. The VLD staff showed us one clip of Shiro and Adam breaking up. Told us they were on their way to marriage(not engaged) but they broke up in the end. Shiro and Adam haven’t seen each other in 4+ years and even after Sam Holt returned and told everyone that Shiro they were alive, Adam never went to talk to Sam Holt about Shiro. If they had showed Adam talking to Sam about Shiro and Shiro thinking of his lovely time with Adam while dying, instead of thinking about Keith, and Adam supporting and waiting for Shiro then yes, yall can get upset about Ad@shi but, they didn’t. Obviously Shiro is sad by the fact that Adam passed way but he didn’t have time to mourn. They were literally fighting off the Galra race and protecting their base. I get that some of you guys are upset Adam died and to some it feels like a “Bury your gay trope” But Adam isn’t the representative he was just a plot device for Shiro, Shiro IS the Representative and he is alive and well. The cast and crew fought for Shiro not for Adam or Ad@shi.
Honestly, people wanted lgbt representation and the Staff and Crew fought to give us what they could! They did their best and you guys are getting mad at them!? Honestly such selfish people. You guys, before getting mad at the cast and crew for queer baiting you, try to understand what they tried to do for this toxic ass fandom!
