This is beautiful.
Don’t know if you guys have seen this. If you go to the fb page this is from, you’ll have to scroll down to find the OP.
Pretty sure this shit doesn’t happen to thin people.
I'm pretty sure this shit happens to nobody.
My mom just ruined a perfectly nice dinner with my brother, who lives far away and was visiting - it was his past day here- by not letting me order dessert. She's always trying to controls what I eat because she wants me to be "healthy" aka thin. I'm just writing this to keep myself occupied so I don't burst out crying. The only reason I feel self-conscious about my weight and what I eat is because of her, because otherwise I'm happy with my body...
Maybe your mother is trying to "control" your eating because you clearly can't. If you could, you wouldn't be fucking fat.
Dat victim complex.
I was at a cafe and I ordered a latte. The waitress specifically asks me ‘just a regular latte? You don’t want a skinny latte?’
Yeah, cos I’m fat and I MUST be wanting to lose weight, so I MUST be on a diet and so I MUST want non fat milk. And if I don’t, it’s a mistake she is kindly helping...
TIL being thin makes you look like a prepubescent boy.
This TiTPer is particularly nasty and bitter. Saying she loves her body, yet feels the need to insult other women's bodies.
Color me shocked.
I found this site completely by accident. I am 5’8” and currently about 260 pounds. I’ve been big my entire life. In fact, I was 6 pounds 8 ounces when I was born and my mom told me I had so many fat rolls, I couldn’t fit into newborn size clothes. But, I digress.
Weight is something that has...
First of all. Nobody is born fat. I am four inches shorter than this person and weight 140+ lbs LESS. Want to know how much I weighed when I was born? 8 pounds, 8 ounces. Yeah, I was big baby. My older brother weighed the exact same when he was born, and guess what? He's not overweight either. Isn't that a shocker?
Lets move on, she obsesses about her weight? Okay, I can understand that, I obsess about mine most days. I'm a fitness nut, so I hit the gym pretty hard most days and eat properly in order to fully utilize my time at the gym. I've been cutting for a few weeks, and have made a lot of progress. I still look at myself in the mirror, knowing how far I've come, and still think I can do better. Why? Because I'm a perfectionist, and my body is a work of art that could always use a little touching up.
This person however, she obsesses about her appearance and takes ZERO personal responsibility for it. If her size really bothered her, she could take steps to get it under control. Eating (even just slightly) less could help immensely. But no, the world needs to change for her fat ass.
My young nephew is overweight, at around 230 lbs. and 5’4”. He has no health problems from it that I know of, except for self-esteem issues and that he gets overheated a bit easier. He’s trying out for the local football team this summer in hopes of being a linebacker or runningback, both...
I am 5'4 and this kid is more that 100 pounds heavier than me. I felt like shit being a mere 15 pounds overweight. There is not possible way that this kid could feel comfortable being that heavy AND playing a contact sport. That's assuming they even let him join. 100 pounds of extra weight is not a "hefty build". I seriously doubt that he even has much muscle either. This is not thin privilege, it's common sense privilege.
My ex girlfriend was one of the skinniest people I’ve ever seen. Tall, giant thigh gap, visible ribs and hip bones poking out. She never did ANY sports, she was generally lazy and would eat up to 3 bags of crisps every day and an entire bar of milk chocolate. Going out in the evening to buy junk...
I swear to god, this has to be the hundredth time I've read some fatty complaining " but muh thyroid!" These people try to claim that people just naturally come in all shapes and sizes, but that only applies to the obese, right?
How would a doctor not believe you about your supposed hypothyroidism? Unless you are also a fucking doctor or expert on the matter, I wouldn't believe you either.
Thin Privilege is having other options
As a fat person, I’m not allowed to fail academically or at my career. If I lose my job or don’t get into college, I’m not eligible to join the army. I don’t fit into the uniforms at Hooters. I would never get a job as a stripper. I’m not allowed to use my body when my mind isn’t enough to keep me employed.
Being fat is not an identity.
This is also sexist in that it implies that if a woman can't get an education, her only means of making money are to use her body. Are you fucking kidding me? I am by no means a feminist but all this moron could think of was working at Hooters or at a strip club? I'm flat chested, and I sure as hell couldn't get a job at either of those places. Like being fat is the only thing keeping her back. I'm so tired of these excuses.
But guess what, fatty! McDonald's is ALWAYS hiring. I'm sure you'd feel very at home there, you stupid twat.
Someone on Facebook shared this dumb list of things girls ‘should’ do, and number 3 is gross on so many levels. The whole list was incredibly misogynistic and insulting but this one stood out because of the added fat shaming.
Because Body Dysmorphia don't real? Seriously, is not supporting obesity misogynistic now?
Stop turning this shit into a feminist issue!
Thin privilege is not being asked by a kid why you don’t like to exercise.
Today a 7 year old girl came at my house, met me for the first time and asked me that. I said I like and do yoga and that I went to a fitness class and would love to go to another soon. And she said that she exercises...
I went to a fitness class and would love to go to another soon.
WHOA WHOA WHOA. You took one whole fitness class? You must be some kind of star athlete. And you're thinking about doing it AGAIN?! You're practically an Olympian.
I don't know what the point is in trying to prove that fat people can be athletic, it's just simply not true. If it's all about body acceptance and not caring what other people think, why does if matter if you exercise or not?
I’m 21, a university student, and I stand at 6’1 and weigh about 270 lbs (in US sizes, I’m what appears to be called “smallish fat” with my pants size 18-20 and my shirts XL-2XL), with broad shoulders, a full bust, and wide hips. I have always been bigger than most girls, and I’m still constantly...
Fatlogic is believing weight won't effect your knee problems. Whether it's genetic or not being overweight will always make it worse. Being this might not cure it but I wouldn't hurt. I'm so sick of these people making excuses for not losing weight by saying they cannot exercise. There is SOOOO much more to weight loss than exercise. It's 80% diet! Just eat less! It doesn't have to be a lot less, just eat in fucking moderation. Why is that such a hard concept for these people to grasp?
[[TW: This has some sexism issues here, too]] So, I’m on Facebook having an argument with a bunch of fataphobes. Everything’s typical, but the point that the haters are arguing against is that I shouldn’t feel bad because I don’t turn a man on. So all these boys with their male tears come along...
As much as it pains me to say it she has a point, nobody should have to live up to everyone else's standards, especially if they do not want to. HOWEVER, she did not need to respond the the people shaming her. If you are truly comfortable with yourself and how you live your life, you should NEVER feel the need to respond to other people's criticisms. It's just completely unnecessary and a waste of time. Fat or skinny, if you like the way you are and someone tries to shame you, you're better off not even acknowledging them. People like that simply want a reaction, don't give it to them. No matter what you look like there will always be people who don't like the way you are, fuck them.
Public Service Announcement: If the following is at all representative of the blog you run, or any that you follow...congrats! YOU are whats wrong with the world at large, and the internet in general.

Stop this shit. You are neither special, or important enough to merit this much of an over-inflated sense of self-worth or import.
There are so many made up words in that. It fucking boggles my mind what lengths people will go to make themselves out to be victims. Do these people have anything going on in their miserable little lives? The sad part is that I know for a fact that these are all women, women who I guess never got enough attention growing up? Or maybe they're teenage girls with special snowflake syndrome trying to be edgy? These people just need to get the fuck off Tumblr and into the real world.
tw: food, fat discrimination Thin privilege is not having your mother say, out of love, that “it’s good to be hungry sometimes” after you’ve missed breakfast and lunch because of work and it is now 4pm.
Thin privilege is not jokingly being told by your mother that you have enough calories...
TIL that food (the thing everyone needs) is a trigger for these morons.
Pathetic.
The submission about orange soda and someone named Kel, I'm pretty sure was a troll. (Kenan and Kel was a show. Both were POC and one was larger. The smaller one loved orange soda. It was a hoot.)
I didn’t see the post before it went up but I loved that show. Trolls need to get a new hobby.
-FBP
The trolls need to get a new hobby? How about you find a hobby that doesn't involve bitching about society not accommodating your amorphous flabby body, and hating on people who are in better shape than you. How about some exercise, maybe? Oh wait, you probably work out 40 hours a week and eat under 1000 calories a day, right?
Someone asked on the post where a student had to say their bmi in class why they’d have to do that. Well I don’t know about other countries, or even schools but during my school time, we were somewhere between 12 and 14 years old, we had to learn how to calculate our bmi in biology class. And...
For a bunch of people who claim to be proud of their size and love their bodies, they're awfully ashamed of other people knowing their weight and BMI. I don't understand.
Thin privilege is not having your sister tell you no boy is going to want to date you until you lose weight.
Or constantly hear from family members that if you just lose some weight the boys will come flocking to you.
Thin privilege is not having to hide or play off the fact that you want a boyfriend or want to date because you’re afraid people will tell you there’s no chance of it happening because of your weight.
NEWS FLASH: Thinness =/= pretty
This is Beautiful Privilege
HOWEVER, being in shape NEVER hurts. It can only help.
