Boy, girl, neither, or both? Alberta students to define their own gender

Schools should erase old divides that force students into male and female roles, according to new guidelines released Wednesday by the Alberta government that advise teachers to let kids choose which washroom they want to use and what name appears on their report cards.

I’m sadly giving this a month before people start to use and abuse this new system. We can pretend that this will solve the problem and not make it worse but then we would be lying to ourselves. A fuckton of people are going to use and abuse this system and its going to fuck over a bunch of people in the long run. 

This could potentially benefit a large grouping of people, but realistically I don’t feel like its going to end up with a positive outcome. There are far too many small minded people and creeps out there for this to work out the way people want it to.

Also people should read the 21 page document that goes along with this......because its not as grand as everyone is making it out to be.
