Hey, I'm looking for a Destiel fic, you know that really long slow burn mutual pining fic where Dean and Cas are head over heels in love with each other but believe the other doesn't feel the same, but they're still married and have two kids, you know, the one where they have movie nights and Dean makes Cas a mixtape and Cas dresses up as cowboys and doctors bc Dean likes it and - no wait, that's the show
Oh, you mean the hurt/comfort one where Cas gets hurt and Dean gently cups his face with worry then spends weeks taking care of him, wrapping him up in blankets? I think I remember that one. It uses the 'everyone ships it' trope where all the Supernatural beings know they are in love and try to use it against them. Sadly, that is an abandoned WIP that ends on a cliff hanger with Cas finally declaring his love and promptly dying. Someone did write a coda to that where Dean confirms his love too, but it's in Spanish. I sure hope some day the author comes back and finishes the story!
