Wilbur sort of stared for a moment, before his expression changed. She looked more tired than he did before. Sure, she already looked tired. But he didn’t try to hide it now.
He hugged her mother for the first time in decades.
"I love you dear, so much. Please keep your promise, break the cycle. I know you can do it."
For the first time in the entire conversation, Wilbur looked his mother in the eyes.
“I will, I promise. When I come back, that’ll be the first thing I do.”
"Thank you dear, I appreciate it."
She held her arms open, welcoming a hug if he wanted it.
“..I did?”
Wilbur’s brows furrowed slightly.
"Yes, you did. Phil use to visit that way too... But I can only assume that ExDee had manipulate your memories to make you not recall it... Keep me isolated, keep me from interacting to help you guys."
"Wilbur... will you promise to come visit? Will you promise to tell your father too?"
Wilbur nodded in understanding.
“..When I go back up there, will you still be with me? Can I still talk to you?”
"For as long as your walls are down, when you are back to the realm of the living... You just have to wish to speak with me and the next you lay down and sleep my doors will open. You use to do it a lot when you were younger."
Wilbur lowered his head.
“Oh. You think I’ll be able to talk to him? When I’m revived?”
"It's possible. You'll have to seek him out though."
“..Okay. I’m going to try.” Wilbur decided
After a short pause, he spoke again.
“You say you see everything; I have questions. Does father know that I’ve died? Is he upset?”
Her voice went quiet before she spoke again, full of guilt and despair. She hated seeing the ones she loved and cherish get hurt like this.
"He did. He's... not handling it well. He didn't handle killing you the first time either... On any of the loops."
"I'm afraid they won't want to talk to me anymore after what I did. I pushed them away."
"So you're giving up? I don't think you want to repeat your actions. You gave up on Fundy. You gave up on Tommy. You gave up on L'manberg... Even in your past lives you gave up so many times. Start by making amends with Punz's ghost."
"If you are willing to follow my advice, do what makes you uncomfortable."
"And do what?"
"Don’t shut others out. Don’t listen to that little voice telling you to harm your relationships. You are stronger than that hibiscus. You're stronger than you think. Build relationships. If that means starting off doing it here in Limbo with the ghost of Punz?"
"Then do it. You enjoyed their company for that short while before that voice came didn't you?"
The air around Wilbur seemed to condense around him, as if Kristen had sat next to where he was.
"Dear, I don't wish you to be as... hurt as you have been. But I'm here to talk, to listen, and I'm always listening.. You know that right?"
"I know."
Wilbur crossed his arms and pulled her knees to his chest. She was quiet for a moment before speaking again.
"I just- I don't want to do this anymore. It feels like if I try to help Tommy, All I'll be doing is hurting him more than he already is. It's what happens every time."
"I know... When you do go back to the realm of the living cause I know at one point you will... You have to make the decision here. Are you going to follow your father's footsteps or will you break the cycle by following the advice I gave you?"
[ He hummed happily as she kissed his cheek, gently brushing a strand of hair out of his lover's face. At her soft-spoken question, he paused for a moment, adjusting his hold on the scroll before offering it to her. ]
"You remember Arbour, right? Prime's chosen child?"
[ His wings idly adjusted against his back as he spoke, his eyes flicking to the scroll. ]
"Author visited them in their Limbo, and... They want to make a deal with you, as they claim you owe them. To revive Arbour, and give them one more chance."
"The one that Prime put into our care...?"
She carefuly listened to Phil before a sigh escaped her lips.
"Arthor can be rather troublesome... I can see what I can do dear. It's been a while, At least twenty years... There's a possiblity that their body has already decomposed... It takes 5-10 years in a coffin and 5 years without to decompose, Phil."
She carefully raised a hand to her own chin, thinking carefully. Her eyes closing as she thought.
"... You would need a vessel to put the soul in. A recently deceased soul needs to agree with Arbour to inhabit or... making them a body from Clay. That is what's needed first, I'm not opposed to it considering how they died... But this is what's needed to be done."

[His head lifted as he smiled in her presence, taking her hand in his and pressing a kiss to the back of her palm. Unable to reply with a number, as he hadn't kept track of the time since their last visit, Phil filled the gap in his reply with a compliment.] "Seeing your beauty makes it seem like only a moment, dearest."
"I see you're still as much of a Flirt as ever. I suppose if that were to change I would be worried."
Her laughter filled the quiet air as she moved to raise his head up with her other hand and lean to give a small kiss on the other's cheek.
"Tell me Dear, how has things been. I can only gather so much from the pools but you are my Eyes and Ears after all."
[The man's wings fluffed up slightly as he wandered into the enchanted woods, pulling his hat down to shield the sun from his eyes as he carefully held onto the scroll tucked under his arm. Stepping into the clearing with the statue of Lady Death at the center, he looked around, lifting his hat a bit.] "Kristin?"

The breeze gently grew as the pressence of death made herself known. Taking control of the statue, her smile was soft as she opened her mouth. Gradually the Statue became more and more human like as she possessed it.
"Phil~! I've been waiting! How long has it been, My love?"
You wouldn’t dare. You know what this could do. You could cause a Cain reaction that could harm innocent. You don’t want that, do you?
She merely glanced at the lower god. Her gaze screaming with anger.
"And whom are you saying will get hurt by this so called "chain reaction", Dear?"
Her gaze was unnerving, demanding of respect.
"Neither you nor Prime had any right to touch one marked by she who controls Death."

She hummed softly as she held Wilbur's soul in her lap, waiting for the chance that he fall asleep in the overworld so he can wake up in her domain. Honestly, she hadn't seen in her son in a while... Not after taking his soul to limbo...
She saw how it changed him, and it hurt slightly but she knew he was strong... He was her and Phil's child after all.
Wilbur awoke in Limbo, startled. His hair was all brown, like before, and he looked just a bit younger than he felt. The slash in his torso was gone as well. He frowned and looked around, slightly panicked at the feeling of Death so close.
He glanced around some, tugging uncomfortably at the sleeve of his yellow-knit sweater.
"Hello?"
His voice echoed into void.
"Exiled? Y'mean from 'Manberg?" He seemed confused, raising a brow. He hadn't spent enough time with Tommy after his revival to know about the horrors of exile.
"okayokay so since I've been revived, I ran a burger van with my good pal Ranboo, who is married to Tubbo I believe? And they have a kid or somethin. Fundy doesn't see me ever, so sorry you're gonna have to talk to your grandkid some other way. I'm co-parenting a kid right now with my best friend. You'd totally love her. I'm in a platonic queer relationship with another guy, and then some other dude and I are in this weird situationship thingy. You'd love all the kids, my partner has a kid too and she's just precious."
There was a sort of sadness in her eyes.
"When Tommy was exiled and Dream was his warden... I can't remember the Details but once Tommy almost took his final life from the jumping off the tower he built to kill himself... I couldn't bare to watch anymore."
She explained before listening to Wilbur's explanation.
"Well I'm glad you've moved on after everything that happened with Fundy's mother.. I think I can bring him here to see me someday too. I don't believe I have met him however... But I'm glad you're happier now, that you aren't in such a dark place anymore.
