stop feeling hopeless, start getting ready
If you are in a red state, your state either has an abortion ban in place or is rated by the Guttmacher Institute as likely to enact a ban. Your focus should be on protecting yourself and others who need abortions.
stop using electronic period tracking apps or software
educate yourself and others about pregnancy prevention and join groups that are making preventative birth control more accessible
learn the nearest and most accessible routes to states where you and your loved ones can access abortion
contribute to mutual aid funds to help transport people over state lines if they are in need of abortion
consider joining The Satanic Temple so you can claim protections under the Religious Abortion Ritual if you are prosecuted for obtaining an abortion
keep a stock of by-mail abortion pills for yourself and/or others who may need them (you may need to travel out of state to obtain them)
form community provider networks and see if you or someone you know can be trained to use manual vacuum aspiration kits or a Del-Em
all of the above should be done in complete secrecy using verbal communication, end-to-end encrypted apps such as Signal, or a VPN
If you are in a yellow state, you currently have constitutional abortion protections but they are in jeopardy. Get active in local political groups NOW to fight back against constitutional amendments to ban abortion. Your focus should be purely on political action.
If you are in Michigan, you currently have a ban in place which is being challenged, and your governor is working to add abortion protections into the Michigan state constitution. Your focus should be on supporting the work that is currently under way.
If you are in a green state, your state has constitutional protections for abortion that are unlikely to be challenged. Your focus should be on helping others to enter your state for abortion care.
connect with abortion access groups such as Aid Access, Abortion on Demand, the National Network of Abortion Funds, or Just The Pill
volunteer to help people enter your state for abortion care, either with transportation help or letting someone crash on your couch
if you live in a green state with no current or predicted primary routes from other states for abortion access, you can focus your efforts on supporting political action in other areas
If you are in a purple state, your state currently has no constitutional protections for abortion but is unlikely to implement a ban. You have two focuses: pushing for constitutional protections AND helping others to enter your state for abortion care (see green state list).

Please HELP Pakistani girl continue education and escape her country!
Hey friends, I know this is not in the theme of my blog, but I really need help. My Pakistani girlfriends father got killed by mafia IN FRONT OF HER because he tried to take back the land they took from him. My girlfriend was already very depressed before because her household is abusive, she was raped which she couldnt get help for and her country is awful and she endured a lot of suffering due to that (she was literally growing up with bombs falling on schools for example), but this really took it to the next level and it worries me and breaks my heart so much. My girlfriend is crushed, not just because of the trauma of having a family member killed in front of her, but because her father was supposed to sell the land so my girlfriend could fly to US for undergraduate studies. She was actually supposed to come last september but it got deferred due to corona, which felt like a good chance for her father to have extra time to get back the land and sell it. This was her whole future. She got a full ride scholarship in the same state Im in and she was SO happy we will finally be able to meet and love each other in real life and escape the poverty and horrible environment of her country. We were both hoping this would be her chance to start over and get the help she needs for depression and trauma she went through (theres much more to the story but I wont be revealing it for her privacy and safety). But with her fathers death her and her mother lost ALL of their property and money and now rely on her aunts husband for all income (they escaped to another city to her aunts where theyre safe for now). If she doesnt leave for university before september, shell probably be forced to marry a man (were lesbians), be raped by him so she could bear kids for him and slave away her life if she even lives through it because shes suicidal. Its absolutely horrible and traumatizing to live there, especially as a woman and especially if youre lgbt+. I cant stress enough how scared I am for her and what could be her life. Shes been there for me through thick and thin and was the reason I myself have gotten out of depression after years of having it. I cant bear the thought of losing her. Shes the most important person to me and the reason Im alive today. I love her like Ive never loved anyone and I need her to get safe and recover and get the education she worked so hard for 😟
So I humbly ask of you to consider donating or reblogging this so more people can see. Please! Here's the donation link:

Were hoping to get enough money for her flight and if that happens soon enough, food, phone memory card and other things shed need before she moves into the dorms in september (shes hoping to get a campus job afterwards). Ill have her stay with me until then, but Im poor and cant afford to cover her expenses. Also doctors visit because shes been raped before and since then has had pain and uncontrollable bladder issues which she should get checked and treated. Therapy too if possible, until she starts university (because shell be able to get university counseling once she starts), due to how dire her state is and how much shes been through. But its least important between other things. Im sorry for asking this of you. But thank you from the bottom of my heart if you decide to reblog, donate or help in any way. And if you know who Im talking about, please dont say anything - you never know who could see it and how it could put her in danger.
Please donate if you can 💕
HI LET’S SHARE NICOLE’S WORDS ON THE SUBJECT!
It has been literal years but every time I see Martin’s tweets posted somewhere and his word is shared as truth while her post is not shared it sort of reiterates the fact that we trust men to speak about feminism more than we believe women who experience it.
Interesting, innit? https://medium.com/@nickyknacks/working-while-female-59a5de3ad266
Reading her account of how their boss treated her blows me away. Men are so emboldened that they will literally admit to illegal discrimination casually and face no consequences.
In all the years of seeing this post I’ve never seen a link to her side. Didn’t even know she’d written one.
Adding screenshots of her post. His whole post is there without needing a link. Hers should be, too.
Also, she posted this is 2017! It’s fucking 2020 and I’ve seen his side of this for years, but it took 3 years for her side to make its way to my dash…
Lynching still fucking exists in 2020. Have the energy you had for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor because this should not be another case that gets swept under the rug, scream his name. He deserves justice PERIOD. HOLD THOSE RESPONSIBLE ACCOUNTABLE, THEY WILL NOT GET AWAY WITH THIS.

Reposting an Old Resource List of Mine
This is an incomplete list of resources I’ve personally collected throughout my research into Irish Polytheism. Most of it does not include topics which one would generally think of as “relevant” to an IriPol practice, but I feel it’s important to learn about both Early and Modern Irish Culture in order to have a better understanding of the religion. Furthermore, a link’s appearance on this list does not necessarily mean that I agree with the contents of that link.

This list is for personal use and will be updated to reflect additional sources as I find them; it is meant as a quick reference post so that I may more easily access the sources I quote, or otherwise use in my research. It is not meant to be anything other than that- though you may use it as your own reference as well if you wish.
Biggest fucking mood.
They’re also meant for hiltops, not small rooms. Cant get the right reverb with all that echo.
they’re also meant to make you fight the english. don’t forget that part.
My fav bagpipe player was a dude who would go out to the middle of a soccer field near my college apartment on Sunday. No one was using the field and he’d just be out there playing his heart out and the sound were just spread out over the plains. I’d be working on art for class so I’d open the window and listen. I still have fond memories of the day a kid biked up to the edge of the field, ran over to the bagpiper and the music stopped for a moment and as they talked. I couldn’t hear it but I had assumed the worst, that someone had decided to tell him to stop playing. Instead after the pause the musician seemed to nod, readjusted his bagpipes and started belting out the Star Wars theme.

this is one of my absolute favorite poems ever. I used to have a handwritten copy pinned to my door.

LGBT people, long frustrated by police brutality, finally fighting back. trans women of colour and gender non-conforming lesbians, were some of the key people involved in the act of resistance, including Marsha P. Johnson, Sylvia Rivera, and Stormé DeLarverie.
The First Pride Was A Riot
marsha p. johnson and sylvia rivera, founders of STAR and the first pride parades, in 1989
happy pride month! the stonewall uprising was a riot started by trans women of colour against police brutality. support black lives. support trans lives. love fiercely. throw bricks. acab.
this pride month, please please please do not let the black lives matter movement go ignored. the lgbtq movement owes so much to black members of our community. we are not free until all of us are.
what is happening now is change in action. if you care about activism, and you should, you know that blm deserves to be seen, their voices to be heard.
pride matters, and we should still celebrate, still fight, still demand our place in the world. but black and indigenous people need our support right now. cops are not our friends. oppression is never okay. privilege is never comfortable. if you are white or non-black, refuse to let support for blm die down.
this pride, let’s fight for each other. demand spaces for lgbtq people of colour. let their voices be heard. listen.
you can help.
