" oh shit , " hands scraping against the pavement causes a pained expression to crease her features and an apology on her lips when she sees the same expression on his face , " i am so sorry , are you - are you alright ? "

bear just wanted to get home. it happened some days, where the world felt like it was spinning right underneath him. everything felt too much, and so maybe that’s why he knocked into her so hard. or she knocked into him? it didn’t really matter because his groceries end up on the ground along with the both of them.

give him a second… let him take a deep breath, and..

“oh, oh! i’m fine.” actually his hands are scraped, and his carton of eggs is definitely broken. but he’s not even thinking. “i’m really sorry. are… are you okay? do you… are your hands okay?” the only reason to think about his own hurting is to realize she’s probably got that, too.

his groceries are scattered , she's pretty sure he's scraped his hands just like she did and yet he's still asking if she's okay .. she doesn't know what to do with that ..

" don't apologize , it was my fault. long day, you know ? " a nervous laugh as she reaches across to pick up a few oranges that had rolled her way, before she held out her own hands , hoping his were less scraped than hers " just a little scraped , how about yours ? "

he's just a normal guy .. joe was just a normal guy.

shaking fingers twist in the hem of her shirt , blue eyes darting back and forth before landing on the man once more. she doesn't know if its just her , but it feels like his eyes keep tripping over to her every so often like he doesn't want to be caught staring .. it reminds her of joe .. she used to think it was so nice the way those sweet eyes of his always found her in every room.

now it makes her want to be sick , but she swallows down the feeling and turns towards him , " do i - do i know you ? "
