I feel like a lot of songs on Red (Taylor’s Version) are sisters with the folklore and evermore albums. Like Taylor started playing with some of that lyrical style and storytelling but wasn’t quite ready then to release them. As she gained experience and grew into herself as an artist, she found the confidence last year to dive into the rich storytelling she started during the Red era.

Listen, I don’t know a whole lot about music production or mixing. But immediately when I turned on All To Well (10 minute version), the sound and instrumentals absolutely blew me away. I gasped. I have listened to it with headphones, Bluetooth speaker, car speaker, the tv, and just my iPhone and every damn time, I just get a chill and feel just…immersed. Blanketed in it. The sound and music wraps around me.

I have never in my life felt so awestruck by the layering and sonic aesthetic of a song.

So, thank you and mad props to Jack Antonoff for helping give us this version which is more than we could have ever dreamed of.
