my chonky boi!
moss in my walstad tank!
Pics from when I set up my tank back in April
Feels like I haven’t posted about Spit Fyre in months!
Despite the surprise appearance of cataracts (?) back in March, his vision now still seems pretty much fine, and he’s just as Angy as ever.
Before and after. Re-do of my fluval flex, which has been having major algae issues.
Moved hardscape around, trimmed the foreground plants, removed the rotala and added heaps of pearlweed. Hoping the pearlweed will help with any reoccurring algae. Added a few shrimp too.
Good morning everyone!
My new female koi hm, Pekoe, and her tank 😊
Shrimp and kuhli loaches in my 70L.
the yellow shrimp are in the tank
floaters ☺️🌱
day 178 of my walstad tank!

Things aquarists think during a water test/change:
- please let the parameters be stable.
- water is everywhere oh god
- how is there this much sand in a tube.
- how is water this heavy
- am I using this right?
- there is more water on me than in the aquarium.
- why isn’t the gravel vaccuum working?
- FISH NO DON’T CHASE THE SIPHON
- did I vaccuum a shrimp by accident?
New set up for my betta fish.
It's a high tech Dutch style ish aquascape
Sadly the new plants are still emersed. So it will take a while for the plants to get the submerged form and then I can trim it all into shape.
New plants are: hydrocotyle verticillata, ludwigia palustris, buce wavy green (will get added tomorrow) and rotala green and rotala rotundifolia.
First time trying Co2 so for now I'm gonna do 2 bubbles per minute and eventually to about 3 to 6 bubbles per minute en get onto 6- 15 milligram co2 per liter.
Oh yeah and the betta is doing well haha :D
