Hi my name is seonaid johnston I’m 22 years old and am deaf, i have mental health issues and I’m here to tell you about how i ended up with mental health issues and my Raynaud Phenomenon
It all started when i was in school i was getting bullied for my appearance, the way i spoke. It was in primary school it started and it just carried on into secondary which made me feel worthless, lonely, doubting myself that i was able to do things that everyone else could do because i was and am deaf that fact that i spoke but they never understood me, and the fact that because of thee way i was i would never get a job or be able to come up with a way or getting a job and having a house as well as a partner.
I got called names i got hit i got anything they could do to me they did which made me not want to leave the house to go to school or go out because i was afraid that it would happen outside of school when i would want to go out and just hang around with people of my age and year group but as seen as people saw me they turned away started to whisper to each other and giggle amongst them self so I asked what it was they was giggling about but they said that they wouldn’t tell me because i may cause them to loose friends if they spoke to me.
