I don’t write romance (I totally respect people who do, though!) but this is also great writing advice in general! What is preventing the protagonist from achieving their goal?

Why can’t these two people be together now?

Why can’t the mystery be solved now?

Why can’t they overthrow the evil overlord now?

If you don’t have a solid answer for these questions, that’s a good indicator that the plot could use some more work.

Ship: MuraMido Who’s the first to wake up in the morning: Midorima - he has a more normal schedule Who’s the one to make breakfast: Murasakibara, honestly Who’s the one to serve the other breakfast in bed: Mura’s done this before, but it’s for special occasions Who would suggest a quickie in the morning before work: They’ve both done this an equal amount, I feel like Who suggests they both ditch work to lay around all day: Murasakibara Who chooses the movies: They switch out - one of them chooses the movies one night and then the other does it the next time Who initiates kissing during the movie, thus distracting the other from the movie all together: Murasakibara - it annoys Midorima to no end, but he enjoys it too much to be angry Who orders lunch: If they’re having lunch together, it’s usually home-cooked Who steals food from the other’s plate without asking: Murasakibara most often, but Midorima has done this a couple times Who curls up next to the other and falls asleep due to a full tummy: Mura Who distracts the other from trying to work at home: It’s equal, honestly. Who asks to go get ice cream like a five year old: Mura, but Mido has actually done this before to make Mura feel better after a long day Who takes pictures of their partner eating ice cream: They both have pictures like that, it depends on the day Who makes a sexual joke about the dripping ice cream on their partner’s face: Neither of them, honestly. It never comes to mind in the moment Who cooks dinner: They take turns at this, but Mura likes cooking Who cleans up the kitchen afterwards: Midorima Who stays up until 2 reading: Midorima Who stares at their partner while they’re sleeping: They both do this equal amounts Who kisses their partner while they sleep: Midorima - no reaction so it feels… easier that way.
