Hey, if you have no choice but to infodump, always use characters, never the narrator to tell things to the reader.

This way, if you got something wrong and someone points it out later, you can argue that this character in particular was lying/misremembering/was ignorant of the exact details. You, the author, obviously knew what the real facts were all along.

Star Light, Star Bright

The grandest stage of them all. The Big lights of Wrestling's Biggest Night were made for those who were willing to make the big leap, and tonight, that was a young Puerto Rican named Misty. With her folders and notepads in hand, she had walked through the door and began walking around the backstage area, trying to find her way around. Soon she found a table to set down her things and get her composure together, taking a second to soak everything in. As she did, however, she noticed someone was watching her.

His expression lit up again and he nodded, excited about his teammate being brought up. “Yes, yes! Goldust is my brother. My tag team partner~! He’s off to find an attendant, and— Ah!” He looked off down the hallway, seeing Goldust heading their way, a staff member holding a rug to throw over the wire close behind him.

Stardust took her arms gently, moving her out of the way so they could cover her assailant up and avoid any more incidents.

Misty couldn't help but smile when she saw him light up. There was something childish yet adorable about him, and she liked that about him. He didn't take himself too seriously, but he was also kind and generous.

When Stardust moved her out of the way for the attendant, a soft blush grew across her tan skin, but she tried her best to hide it before Stardust noticed.

He smiled softly, looking back at her once the Staff member left to continue their work. “There we go, all better now… And you’re okay, right?” He tilted his head, pulling his hands away from her arms and folding them in front of him.

Misty cleared her throat as Stardust asked his question. She kept doing her best to keep from blushing even more than she already was, because she didn't want to embarrass herself even more than she already did.

"Um, yes. I'm okay." She answered, almost avoiding eye contact with the man who helped her.

He was more than used to people avoiding eye contact. Didn’t even phase him, and he kept his soft smile, nodding at her answer. “Good, good… Well… I’m happy you’re alright, Miss Mystique.” His smile widened a bit as he said her name again, absolutely loving the sound of it.

"Thank you, Mr. Stardust, sir." She said with a soft smile, looking up at him as she did. She had hoped her blush had at least somewhat vanished, but the slight rosey hue was still visible on her cheeks.

He giggled at the ‘sir,’ bouncing on his feet a little. “You should get back to where you were going in such a rush… Hopefully we meet again under better circumstances.” He grinned at her.

Misty suddenly snapped back into reality. "Oh goodness! You're right!" She then gather herself again and started walking off to the area for her interviews. "Goodbye, Mr. Stardust, and thanks again!"

He waved to her, laughing a bit at how she rushed away.

He was sure he’d see her again soon.

I started watching wrestling in 1985, and I’ve always been torn between Bret Hart and Steven/William Regal as my favorite.

He did notice the blush. He’d seen similar looks before, not often, but occasionally. Maybe those looks were made toward Cody more often than to him, but… He still recognized it.

“Anytime. Hopefully not soon, though.” He patted her shoulder, nodding.
