TIME IS NOT REFUNDABLE.
USE IT WITH INTENTION.
Books you recommend? (Self development etc)
Honestly? None. The past me would have elucidated upon title after title, but I’ve come to realize that the best way of being, living, knowing, and acquiring is to always remain in the present moment. Life can’t be planned for and there is no structure, system or entity that can be truly accounted for. Alternatively, value can be found in virtually anything.
Hierarchical learning is archaic.
The best way to live is to live through your senses as much as possible. I will say - there are signs around you that already indicate what your greatest and highest potential is and should be. Visual cues, indicators, sounds and words that repeat. Pay attention.
Love yourself, take pride in your appearance, self reflect, sculpt your body, prioritise beauty, stretch regularly, meditate, journal, eat nutritionally abundant food. You have one body — optimise, nourish and take pride in it.
I love saying “of course” instead of “you’re welcome,” like of course I’m helping you that’s what I do, you were foolish to even consider an alternate dimension in which I’m not helping you. you idiot. you absolute buffoon.
You’re healing every time you
get out of bed because there’s something you’re excited about.
don’t think about people who left.
clean the clutter in the room and dishes in your sink.
smile at yourself and random people.
do something kind and out of the blue to make someone happy.
work out or meet with friends even though you have no energy to.
calm yourself down when your thoughts race.
remember to drink water.
don’t dwell on things you can’t control.
do things good for yourself, even though you have no motivation.
tell yourself that you’re growing from this, and you won’t feel like this forever.
Wow Shannon might be the most inspirational person I know !!1’!!
if it’s not on my tombstone one day you all failed me
Is it difficult for you to "be gay" in public when you're with your gf? I've been pretty out (except to coworkers) since high school and have been dating my gf for quite a long time and I still don't feel comfortable kissing or holding hands in public. I just feel like everyone is judging me and idk I can't deal with that shit. And what if someone I know who doesn't know I'm gay sees me? WHY IS BEING GAY SO HARD? jk but seriously. do you still feel scared of these things?
i actually have a problem remembering other people exist when i’m with her, it’s hard for me to notice anything else.Â
but before cammie i definitely had anxiety about that sort of thing. i just don’t like attention in general and obviously no one really loves feeling judged.Â
i think discrete pda is cuter anyways though, like subtle things you do just so the person you’re with knows your missing them even when they are sitting right next to you. i’m not big on making out or being all over someone in public whether it were with a girl or a boy (unless i’m drunk in a bar in NYC and then apparently I’m all about it).Â
people will judge you regardless of who you are or what you’re doing and why should you let people who know nothing about you effect your behavior. focus on the love you have for your girlfriend, not the hate the ignorant people who will judge you have in their small minds.
way easier said than done but it’s kind of like a matter of priorities. are other peoples opinions of you worth missing out on being affectionate? i get limited time with my girlfriend as it is and i’m sure as heck not missing any opportunity i have to let her know i love her.Â
