1. i adore uncanny Thrawn. to me, he's as different from humans as a hare is from a rabbit. 2. Eli is from Wild Space - so he's a wild rabbit. get it? 3. his nose twitch always gives him away ... 4. i love the idea of wild rabbits telling legends about mythical creatures - the hares. 5. rabbits are social because they are pack animals, hares are solitary by nature. i think it fits thranto perfectly. and despite all their differences, they're still kin. 6. i imagine the other human characters as weasels or domesticated rabbits... can't decide yet.
